Come on guys! It must be a slow news day/week. I work for a major bank and this is not an uncommon practice for team building skills. I just think there has to be a more important investigation waiting out there somewhere.

This episode shows exactly how State employees regard the tax payer.
I feel the commissioner should be FIRED. He will back this type of stupidity because the staff only reflects the attitude of the leader. At least that is what i was taught in Leadership Training. This department needs to be cleaned out. The employees who participated should be sanctioned and management should be terminated. |

doesn't matter what is said nothing will ever change the state will never do anything to stop the waste of time and money i know personally that there are several state workers that do nothing all day but sit and talk on the phone and talk to each other i have a spouse that works there so i do know what i'm talking about and the people in charge know about this problem and do nothing because when they say something they scream it's because they are black so they are scared to say a word if they can't do the work then they need to be fired and the boss needs to go to for not taking care of the problem

When I worked for the state, I used to get so frustrated when we had to go for "mandatory" staff training at least twice a year. It was a fifty mile trip, one way, and was totally boring. I am an intelligent adult capable of reading a memo or manual-I don't need someone who is paid big bucks to read off a powerpoint presentation in a monotone voice. This is one of the reasons the state government is in the mess that it's in-think of the wasted time, money paid to the speaker(s), and mileage reimbursement, and, in some cases, hotel and meal reimbursements.
