Sorry, been there...seen that...not buying it. You should turn yourself in to law enforcement and tell them of your cruelty to animals and it will help clear your conscience and your guilt. Some prison time may be good for you and never owning another animal - you are sick - get help.

Then the property can sit idle for years being condos for the birds. Then they will have to get rid of the birds, knock down the chimneys and the buildings, clean up some more, costing millions, plant some eucalyptus trees for a wind break and build some comfy California condos for low income types. Yeah somebody cares all right, someone with $ signs in their eyes. You can't just 'designate' a private quarry a wildlife sanctuary. That's ridiculous. The stacks were decommissioned in the 1960's, I imagine demolition is prohibitively expensive. The workers there are very kind and hospitable. The swifts aren't hurting anything. There is no need to fulminate. But if you do have that need, you'll have to find a different topic.

How did this become a hunting debate? It's about swifts, tiny little birds that live on the wing and are gracing us with their presence right now. They have nothing to do with hunting! Why is there so much anger just waiting to be unleashed everytime there's a nice story like this?
