I bought an Atlanta Stove works stove from a yard sale. It is 36" long 26" high with the legs (6" legs) and 24" wide. A hearth plate below the side door which has 3 round dampers. The front has 2 doors with one handle and when opened theres a decorative grate there to catch sparks im guessing. There is a hearth plate under the double doors too. It takes a 6" pipe which comes out the back and on the front there is a decorative silver looks like a bird in the center surrounded with leaves. Ive looked top bottom inside and out but there is no model # anywhere. Only reads Atlanta Stove Works inside the right door of the double doors. theres a plate on the hearth plate that reads fire should be started on hearth... Does anyone know what model I have, how old is it and do I need gaskets for the double doors???? Hope so. one59scotty@yahoo.com

I have a Huntsman wood burning stove it has 2 doors on left door it says huntsman on right door it has a deer jumping a log. It has 3 knobs one on each door and one in middle to[ of right door. It has a damper on the inside of the house on chimney. Can anyone tell me where I can find an on line manual as I cannot find the model number ext. Or can someone explain to me the proper method of using this. The doors do not have glass in them, I think this may be an older model. Have no clue. The inside back I see bricks. on the top section of this fire place it has an eagle with spread wings. Thank you in advance for any info that you can give to me to help me use this.

My father deposited his gold in Ghana for safe keeping until he is prepare to leave African to the United States for a business. Since his death, the gold was unknown for many years. I was contacted by the company that my father deposited some boxes in the company and refuse to clear the boxes out of the company. They got my contact because my name was written on the document as the next of kin to the boxes.

Jack Chagnon wrote: I also have a Huntsman Wood Stove. Its steel with brick linning. Its has three controls in the front door. My question is the two bottom controls which screw in and out go all the way in and seal, the top one has a stop to let a small amount of air in. My question is after I get the stove going and want to turn it down for slow burning do I shut the two bottom ones down and use only the top one to control air entry? I too would like a manual. I also have a huntsman (Atlanta stove works)wood stove with the 3 control's and would like to know the proper way to use them (my top screw in knob does not have a stop). ********also I would like to get a manual for it please.********* I had to fix a hinge and clean it up,but it heats my home well! not bad for $75.00 when I went to pick up the stove the couple I bought it from said it was in the way and they wanted to get rid of it,then they asked if I could take the wood in there back yard?when I went to get what I thought was a little wood there was 4 cords!not a bad deal...

messer wrote: Biggest piece of crap for a stove always smokes up the house they did not make them right they do not draw like the other woodstoves we have had in the past any one know how to fix this We have the same problem! What helps us is to start a cold stove with news paper to heats. It heats the chimney up for a quicker draw. When opening the door just crack it first for a couple of seconds to allow the fire to pick and pull the smoke away from the door. Hope this helps! Also anyone out there, I also have a Huntsman and am looking for a manual. Thanks bmikbern@comcast.net

Proper method for burning this stove is as Follows: open each knob approx. 1 turn each to light the stove Allow stove to reach approx 300+ degrees for clean burning At this point you will close the bottom knobs to 1/4 - 1/2 turns open and adjust the top knob to maintain the 300+ degrees. This Allows the air to pass above the fire to keep the wood from burning to fast and to build the heat on the top of the stove I presently have two "Huntsman" stove that I have burned for 30 years now and they will both burn approx 8-10 hours using this method and still have coals hot enough to restart the stove.
