I would like to know if anybody knows when they're going to fix the streets in Tela, specially in La Colonia Citraterco, when it rains it becomes a lake.
would like to buy a house there, waiting for the streets to be paved.
Tela is beautiful, but the town is dirty. It would be a beautiful city for tourist to go, if they would clean it up. and the crime has increase something terrible. i wish the new mayor would turn Tela the way it use to be when the United Fruit Co. was there. SPOTLESS

Tela is wonderful; I was there for a few weeks this spring. The people were great and the beach was beautiful. I agree with expat Mike Murray. I stayed at the Bayside Hotel right on the beach (right next to Hotel Puerto Rico). I've even considered becoming an expat myself and moving to Tela; I'm a U.S. military veteran, and I'm waiting to see what happens with the Obama administration. The U.S. so-called 'democratic' congressional leadership and its socialist phony president, Hussein Obama, who never spent one day in the military himself, stated, "I strongly condemn Honduras for their coup". He could learn a Godly lesson from Honduras, which is striving to remain a truly democratic nation, even though they're surrounded by dictatorial ravening wolves like Chavez and Zelaya. Good for you, Honduras, and may God bless you beyond measure!

When we visited Tela beach by the Telamar hotel years back this was one of the finest I had ever visited. And have been to some nice ones in the USA such as Siesta Keys in Sarasota ,FLA. Anyhow my bro-in-law had them set up a huge canvas for us right next to the beach near the water. There were some young boys that brought us coconuts and cut them open so we could sip on them thru straws. The outside dining and showers too was fabulous. We also liked to stay at the Christopher Columbus beach near the hotel in Trujillo I believe. The hotel Fanasy Island on Roatan had a nice cook out at night with king crab claws and the entire works at a buffet while listening to a Jamacan style band in the evening. Honduras is truly bless when it comes to beaches. I also liked the west end beach where you could snorkel in the reefs right there. Where else do you have the coconut trees and the clear water.

Give me a break. Making a Honduran woman a sex object for some predator such as yourself is sad. I recommend you stay away from Honduras if that is your intention. The spread of STD's is not cool.

Have you ever seen the girls there? Huge boobs, really curvy butts, and they are all extremely horny! Where else on earth can a guy get such a hot looking hooker for such a small price?

Look you can't tell me about sex. I am happily married to the most beautiful woman(from Honduras) in the world. You are just classless and are into risky business that has consequences. No further comments.

Hello, Tela is the best on this earth, that is if you like to have fun by the beach, by the way dont forget Puerto Cortes and have sopa de caracol at the Roland restaurant in cieneguita, see the sun down in front of la cocacola and have a drink at the bar at Villas del sol; then on thursday, Fridays, and Saturday dance your head off at super carnitas and breakfast in Omoa.
Nevertheless Noche veneziana in Cortes on August 15th.
