Medved's unadulterated extremist conservatism and religiosity long ago killed any respect I had for him as a movie critic. This piece was unusually bad, I thought.

However, there's a kernel of interest in this story, pointing out as it does how increasingly dysfunctional our Presidential candidates, and Presidents, have become over the last generation.

You really have to be kind of damaged to want to be President or even try for the office, don't you?
