U.S. Rep. Silvestre Reyes spent $1.24 million -- more than three dollars for every dollar his leading opponent spent -- in an unsuccessful effort to secure the Democratic Party nomination for a ninth term in Congress.

His "hard working" family who helped with his feeble campaign has most of it.

He didn't get that fat from starving.
