Perry says the "Texas miracle" rests on conservative pillars that he would bring to the White House: minimal regulation and government, low taxes and a determination to limit the reach of Uncle Sam.
What he does not say is that much of that job growth has come because of government, not in spite of it.
With a young and fast-growing population, a large and expanding military presence and an influx of federal stimulus money, the number of government jobs in Texas has grown at more than double the rate of private-sector employment during Perry's tenure.
Third time you've posted this copy and paste bullshit. Texas private sector jobs out paced all the other 49 states.....combined, idiot.

Low taxes-low regualtion=companies expanding and hiring.

Texas Has Largest 10-Year Growth in Private Sector Jobs Among All States
AUSTIN – Texas Workforce Commission Chairman Tom Pauken today released figures showing that Texas created more private sector jobs than any other state in the nation over the last 10 years and has the lowest unemployment rate among the 10 largest states in the nation. Pauken cited the U.S. Department of Labor Bureau of Labor Statistics January 22, 2010 release of Current Employment Statistics for December 2009 showing Texas created 724,300 more net private sector jobs as compared to December 1999, the largest private sector job gain nationwide over the last decade.

Boy, you're as gullible as hungry seagull.

http://www.windycitymediagroup.com/gay/lesbia...

Reagan was the darling of social conservatives, despite being an inconsistent adherent to their norms. He is the only divorced man to serve as President. His years in Hollywood and exposure to gays in the movie industry left him about as comfortable with homosexuals as a man of his generation was likely to be. The first gay couple known to have spent the night as guests at the White House was long-time family friends interior decorator Ted Garber and his partner Archie Case.

More importantly, in 1978 as former Governor when he could have kept his views private, Reagan spoke out forcefully against the Briggs Initiative. That right-wing ballot measure in California would have allowed any teacher to be fired for 'advocating, imposing, encouraging or promoting' homosexual activity. Most observers credit Reagan's opposition as a key factor in defeat of the initiative by more than a million votes.

Reagan wasn't gay you lying left flea. He knew many of them from Hollywood, and had no problems with them. He was instrumental in beginning the fight against AIDS. Give us another one of your lies and I'll shoot it down also.

In a difficult footnote to the Reagan Centennial celebration, questions persist about Ronald Reagan's mental status during his White House days.

When did the Alzheimer's disease start? The debate has provoked the latest Reagan family feud. In his new book "My Father at 100," Ron Reagan contends his father showed signs of Alzheimer's Disease three years into his first term. He said he noticed it in the president's performance in the Oct.7, 1984, campaign debate with Democratic challenger Walter Mondale.

He writes, "My heart sank as he floundered his way through his responses, fumbling with his notes, uncharacteristically lost for words. He looked tired and bewildered."

"Knowing what we know now, about the nature of Alzheimer's disease, we know that, decades before symptoms begin arriving, changes are happening in the brain," Ron Reagan adds.

Texas unemployment rate 8.1%
National unemployment rate 8.5%
Difference is a tiny .4%
Not much to brag about.
Texas per capita income is one of the lowest in the US.
Texas one of the highest percent of uninsured.
One would think if they have all those great paying jobs the per capita income would be high and very few uninsured.
Texas not much to brag about.

Daily Horoscope for June 2

Virgo

You're feeling restless and need to introduce as much variety into your day as possible. However, you'll want this to be on your own terms, and you certainly won't like it if plans are changed without your consent or you feel you've lost control of the situation. Try to take everything in your stride, otherwise you'll end up feeling exhausted and frazzled.
