I would like to know why George County has an ambulance service that charges the elderly over $800. after their insurance has paid. Something needs to be done to protect our elderly. This ambulance service should lose their contract with George County if they are not going to accept payment from insurance and not rob people. The ambulance service is AMR and they took my father from Charlie Lane to George County Hospital and sent a bill for over $1200 dollars, the insurance company approved almost $500 and AMR charged my father, 82 years old, the other $800 and some odd dollars. What is going on? Is the commission aware of the way this company is ripping off the elderly?
