I have a lot of respect for that young man. With a lot of pro football players doing all sorts of things on and off the field,I think that giving God the glory should be thought of in a possitive way.Hey penelize the ref.

Give GOD the glory!! I would like to give that young Hurricane a big high five! Be proud to be in a country where we can openly show our faith. He did not do anything out of the way to cause a celebration penalty. All he did was stand still for a few seconds and look up and point up to Heaven.

Why in the world would any player who had just caught a touchdown pass have to do anything more to "draw attention to himself". Every eye in the stadium was already on him!!!
If RJ had held the football in his hand as he raised it up, there would have been no penalty. I've seen MANY touchdowns made with the player holding the football up in the air.
I applaud RJ for his strength in his beliefs and for knowing where all good things come from!!!!

Pray for that referee. What was the specific penalty? Unsportsman-like behaviour? Not like the kid flashed a gang sign or obscene gesture at the opposing defense.

May Jesus Christ keep you!!!!!!! RJ

Hats off to the young man for giving thanks to the ONE that makes ALL things possible. Maybe if we all gave thanks to whoever (meaning their HIGHER POWER) regardless of their faith, this world would't be in the mess that it is. Touche' young man. Don't be ashamed to let anyone know who your blessings come from. May God continue to bless you in anything you set out to do.

That's great and all that he has faith, but those rules are there for a reason.

Some rules are kind of out there. I could totally see if he was doing something exessive to celebrate, but a quick raise to the Lord is not that extreme.

So very proud of this young man. The official should have to apologize for this penalty. Sure, there are rules but pointing towards the sky is hardly excessive celebration. He didn't do the gator nor did he do the chicken dance. One finger lifted to the sky - what a classy guy.

What exactly are the reason there should be a penalty for pointing to the sky? Who does this harm?

The ref should be ashamed of himself. So many have done so much more in reference to 'celebration'. This wonderful child took a couple seconds to thank the One who made it possible for him to have the strength to play. I agree with JohnBoy109...the Ref needs prayer. I absolutely cannot believe it. I wonder if the ref has any friends left after that?? LOL

Daily Horoscope for January 6

Scorpio

Don't let yourself be caught up in a crowd mentality. Just because someone else makes a major production out of what should be a simple matter, doesn't necessarily mean that it has to affect you adversely. You might be able to bring down the volume with a tap on the shoulder and a meaningful look. Even though it might not seem like it, your cool head is definitely appreciated at times like this.
