This is ridiculous! We are giving out shots to prevent the rest of the student body from gettin pertusis and we arent shut down yet! We should get next moday and tuesday off in order to quarentine the school. I think it is irresponisble to not shut the school down because kids are going to continue getting sick! SHUT THE SCHOOL DOWN! and see to it that the rest of the uninfected students are safe!): <

I agree with Senior at WKHS...school hasn't been shut down yet because we'll "take it out to the community" when they community has already been exposed...most high school kids don't just sit at home or at school on their weekeneds and after school. Thanksgiving is just around the corner. How nice of us to infect our visiting realatives with pertussis. This problem isn't going away or even showing signs of getting better and in my opinion, the school needs to be throughly cleaned and the sick kids left at home. But because of school work being next to impossible time wise to make up, most kids come anyway, sick or not. And while most kids just want school out for the sake of not having school, WE NEED the time to clean and sanitize the school...its crazy that we're giving everyone shots so that others won't get it, but we're not getting the time off so others can clean and make this more preventitive. Not many actaully take time to wash their hands no matter how many times they're told. Shut WKHS and TWHS down!
