They should bring back the use of DDT. It was cheap and effective and the stupid tree huggers were wrong about it, and the rest of us suffer. There is going to be a BIG bedbug problem in the future without it.

An even better idea than Jason's idiotic suggestion would be to do something that actually WORKS. I'd rather not have trucks go up and down my street "fogging" me (and my organic garden) with pesticides. Especially when there's little evidence spraying works. Mosquitoes can breed in 3 days, and the pesticide has to land ON the mosquito for it to work. Eliminating standing water, using larvaecide and handing out free cans of OFF to those who want it would be more effective.

I believe in the benefits of using DDT... I also think yard mowing is made easy with Agent Orange.

An even better suggestion than JWT's stupid suggestion would be to use DDT. Let the tree hugging morons use their cans of OFF. Maybe it will make them brighter.

Daily Horoscope for January 2

Virgo

It's okay to have high expectations, but try to keep in mind that no one can be all things to all people. As the Moon spends one last day in its current sign, it urges you to find a way to recognize others for their strengths, and forgive them their weaknesses. Virgoans' idiosyncrasies must look like strange quirks from the outside as well! Fate ties up the loose ends towards the end of the day.
