i have 3 warts on my index finger and middle finger and i was concerned that if my finger was to enter my girlfriends vagina that she could get genital warts or warts infecting that area. is this right?

Absolutely. Warts are transmitted very easily from one person to the other. The vagina is a very moist area and an ideal place for warts to grow. If you just have to put your fingers inside your girlfriend's vagina, I recommend using a latex glove. Otherwise, stay away from it.
Do not do this to your girlfriend or anyone else.

No she can't get genital warts. Genital warts (an STD) are caused by a different strain of the human papilloma virus to the ones which cause common warts on your fingers. Therefore warts from you fingers cannot spread to the genitals.

I was worried about the same thing. I had 2 warts on my foot, my boyfriend had 5 on his fingers. We bought a "wartabater" and it just killed them dead. It works for sure. We could not believe it. Good luck to you guys.

Do not listen to Pharmacist! You can spread common warts of the hand to the vagina. It can and does happen. I know because it happened to my girlfriend. Talk to gynecologists who will confirm this. While there are indeed many strains of HPV, the strains that cause common warts (such as those on the hand) can occassionally be transmitted to the genitals. GET YOUR WARTS TREATED/REMOVED and wait for the area to heal before you put your fingers on anyone's genitals. And you still may want to use some sort of latex barrier on your fingers as was previously suggested (even after you have your fingers treated).

How effective was the wartabater and how does it work?

i found several bumps on my vagina less than a week ago, a couple of weeks after i found a wart on my thumb. i researched on the internet and was under the impression the warts on my vagina could not be caused by the wart on my thumb.

went to a clinic, they told me the warts on my vagina were caused by the wart on my thumb. finally saw my GP and she confirmed (after careful examination).

being female, the practice of using the washroom and wiping was enough to transmit the "true" warts from my thumb to my vagina.

though it is true that a "common" or "true" wart is a different strain than that which causes genital warts, i am a case where the common wart has infected my genitals. my GP quickly treated my problem to prevent spreading, but she also warned me that this could have been caused by a sexual encounter with someone who had a wart on their hand....

guys with warts on your hands. be careful!

Just today I went to the doctor and learned I had genital warts. I have a wart right near a fingernail and two on my index finger. I constantly bite my fingernails and even one time picked at it because I did not know it was a wart. Through picking at the wart and having it exposed it was very likely to spread. Just a few touches near the genital area was enough to spread it. We are not sure if my wart spread it to the genitals but that is my guess. Either threw masturbation or simply readjusting my area I became infected. I do not believe I had contact with anyone who had genital warts but I am not sure.

I do think you can spread hand/common warts to your genitals.

No, pharmacist is right and knows what he's talking about. The strain that affects your hands is not the same as the genitals. If your girlfriend has a wart in her genitals, she got it from having sex with someone who has genital warts.

Dude, pharmacist was right. Talk to your doctor. The wart virus that affects the hands does NOT, I repeat DOES NOT affect your genitals. If your girlfriend has a wart on her genitals, then it was from sex or just skin to skin contact with someone who has genital warts.

You can spread a wart from your thumb to your genitals. I had warts on my thumbs for several years and I shave my vaginal area. I didnt know that it could spread but I went to the gyno last year and there is a wart in my vaginal area. I was very upset and confused because both my husband and I have been tested for everything and we were negative for everything and I explained this to the doc and he informed my that I could of very well of given it to myself while shaving and my thumb rubbing against. So to all that dont think you can spread from thunb to genital area, Your Wrong!!

I have countless warts on my right hand... I have masturbated since I was an Early teen... I am 40 now, and the warts (right hand) showed up when I was 25... I found Warts soon after on my Digit... however I have never transferred this virus to a woman.. I was worried of course... Soon I started dating a nurse.. I had her look at it.. she said it was nothing.. After a year of intercourse without protection, She didn't get anything, and my genital warts went away.. Although the warts on my right hand are still there... Can someone tell me what the signifigance of warts on the right hand are?

Yes, warts on your hands can be passed to your genitals. Dont listen to the pharmacist! About three months ago i was being treated for warts on my hands then i found out i had black spots on my genital. The doctor said i gave it to myself and it can be treated it's nothing. Just know that it can be contagious especially if you poke them Go see a dermatologist he will use cold air and cream. The cream is very expensive though.

It all depends what type of wart you have. I developed hand warts as a kid, but they went away within 1 to 2 years. My doctor told me that it was not contagious. Contary to popular belief, my warts did not spread to the other parts of my body and I did not "infect" anyone.

However, your case appears to be different so I suggest going to to doctor to diagonse what type of wart you have.

Daily Horoscope for June 2

Sagittarius

You're feeling ultra optimistic today, which is great for summoning up the necessary energy to do what has to be done. But don't let it go to your head and convince you that you're capable of performing miracles. If you aren't behaving in this way you'll have to cope with someone who has a swollen head and thinks they're the cat's whiskers.
