This has been a recent occurrence for me. I'll either wake up with the taste of vomit in my mouth and the smell of it in my nose or, like last night, I'll wake up as I'm starting to vomit with just enough time to either hold it back and run to the bathroom to get it out.

Eat less in dinner, stroll before going to bed, use raised pillow, wake up in the night & stand or sit straight for a while in order to release stomac gasses.

I am at my wit's end. I have had inexplainable nausea/vomiting for over two years, which has resulted in a ruptured esophagus. I understand that the usual reason is heavy intake of alcohol, but that is not true in this instance. I was finally diagnosed as having dangerously low B-12 and niacin. Started taking meds for it, and they worked for about a year. Now, I am right back where I started, and I know for an absolute fact that I will never survive a second ruptured esophagus. I have done all the things in the post above. And I have lost nearly 40 lbs and am now pretty darned skinny. It is getting quite critical. Does anyone have any experience like this?

This has happened to me a couple times too. I think it was just bigtime reflux. If I watch what I eat before bed, and take an antacid like Zantac before bed if I have eaten, it seems to help. Good luck.
