Can not help out right now ,see you 2014 things are bad all over ,borrow money from FRANKLIN CO.MRDD they just received $2.25 million FED .STIMULUS money ,on top of issue #29 's perrmanent property tax levy in MAY 2008,which gave them an additional $34million in FRANKLIN CO .TAXES. THE well is DRY ,we have school levys to face ,COLS. city income tax hike, METRO parks issue #1 got your money, I'd rather gave $23 to you than them ,they beat you to it by a hair! these levvies are all adding up $227,$186 ,$23,$28 and 2.5% income tax ,COTA bus rate hike on top of their sales tax increase to cover their raises! VOTING NO on #4...

I would vote if I actually thought they did their jobs. They say they are overwhelmed with all their cases and that is why some falter. I have a hard time accepting that answer. Maybe they should focus on the tasks at hand. There are children involved that do NOT get the help they deserve. Their communication is horrible and their customer service even worse when I help pay their paycheck! Sorry but for personal reasons I am voting No because they can't do their jobs and programs that they have in place already.

Are kidding me? My escrow on my house payment just went up $88.00 because of that Columbus public schools levy that was passed last November. And My wife and I don't have any kids! I'm sick of having to pay for other peoples kids!!!!!!!!!! If you cant support them don't have them!

I'm sick of having to pay for other peoples kids!!!!!!!!!! If you cant support them don't have them! I'm with you. It's killing the home owners. Apartments have avg 2-4 kids. The older home owners are on fixed income, no kids in school, yet pay way more than the apartment dwellers. A duplex here in Reyn has one side with 3 kids & the other with 2. The owner only pays $150 more a year than I do. So you know the rent the parents pay is nothing compared to may monthly escrow. Plus, I'm going to beat this to death (as I have on other threads here) IT IS UNCONSTITUTIONAL!

It's funny how they will tell the public of the "few" good things they do and not mention all the negative things that happen and yet whine about the money shortage just like the city, county and state does.My question here is what kind of cheese do they want with that whine?Hell no,I'm not voting for it.

I can't believe I'm seeing such selfish, heartless comments. Innocent, helpless children benefit from these services.

What about MY innocent, helpless children & family - we need to eat also. If the schools/programs would trim, rearrange their budgets like we have had to do, they wouldn't be crying for more-more-more all the time!

ABUSED AND NEGLECTED CHILDREN. Do your children fit in that category? I think not.

I've watched kids go through their system several times and they are hurried back to their mother so the case workers can place the kids back and get their bonus for doing so! Sure there are some kids that benefit from whatever it is they call their job but too many single parents know they can just use Children's Services for a vacation then say what they want to hear to get their kids back for the tax deduction. When a mother has been in their system off and on for over 18 years with multiple kids that are not thriving and have severe personality problems from having to be a part of their mother's horror of a lifestyle, maybe they should consider permanently placing those kids so they have a shot at life, instead of worrying about their bonus. We all forget these kids don't chose their parents and some are simply better off in a stable home! I'm not supporting a system that supports bad parents!

I will continue to support a system that might save even one child's life. I know those who have adopted from the system and even those children benefit from services before the adoption is finalized. I agree that a lot of parents don't deserve to have their children back, but with the system not in existence think of the many children that would continue to be abused and there would be absolutely nothing anybody could do about it.

There is no such thing as a bonus. Workers are doing their jobs as outlined by the system and the court. If you hear nothing else, please know, there is no bonus, no perk, nothing "tangible".

How do you think they are able to be given a shot at life without a system that removes them from their abusive parents??
