Now I see Alma Rock Rd residents are asking for tests and water. This problem keeps getting larger. Stay on top of the Reps. $2 million is a lot but if they think it is going to get bigger they may chicken out and wait for the Feds (if they want to) get involved.

Dan Malloy knew and did nothing.
Pavia knew and did nothing.
MArtin knew and did nothing.
Dodd and Lieberman knew and did nothing.
Rell knew and did nothing.
They all knew and have done nothing!
Amazing.
You elected officials are simply amazing!

I a curious referencing UCONN and their move downtown. They must have done water studies when the line was brought in to their campur before the land swap. Has anyone done an FOI to UCONN to see what they knew about the water up there?

I know it was a political deal to get them downtown in the old Bloomingdales but did UCONN know something we didn't?

Turns out the bandaid is a noose.

Aquarion is demanding permanent capping of wells on all properties for which the City of Stamford is paying it to run water lines.
The Aquarion "policy" effectively denies residents one of two things:
>access to presumably untainted water; OR
>access to their wells for future testing, a denial that could preclude their right to evidence in suits for damages, medical expenses, cancers, future medical expenses resulting from toxin exposure, wrongful deaths.
What a wonderful choice!
Aquarion has put these already victimized residents on top of the World Trade Center, with
the equivant of jump or burn choices.
Only now it's clean water at the cost of denial of any future access to critical evidence for themselves and their families!
Just lovely!

Wouldn't that stop testing from the 12,000,000 gallon a day well area too? That would be one way to show only the results you wanted for the entire area. Maybe that is the liability that Aqaurion is trying to cap on their end. How would you refute their test results if you could not test any water in the area? For what is done the liability of the last 25-30 years of poisoning people should be on the state and town, not Aquarion. That's my opinion, what do the legal eagles think? Unless Aquarion wants to supply the area with water from a local well.....
