I'm a Foot Health Professional and have a query I hope someone can help with.

I saw a lady 6 weeks ago, she had caught herself on a trolley on her lower shin area. She had localized redness and weeping - the lady said it had been like this for three weeks. I referred her to her G.P citing ulcer. Her G.P said it wasn't an ulcer but a trauma wound.

Can someone explain the difference? My understanding is that an ulcer is a non healing wound
