I have been dealing with overwhelming stress and depression for many years to the point of complete dibilitaion.
I did all the meds, therapy etc. I have always been a very strong person who thought I could conquer any obstical.
But I lost that battle big time to the point I finally fell on my knees and begged for God's help.
I am not here to recruit for religion or God but until I admitted my life was unmangable and turned my life over to him I was lost.
When I am stressed or feel depressed I now Pray. I just pray for God to take away the feeling of stress and replace it with love and compassion. And that is what works for me.
Also I had to learn to take care of myself (as I was always used to being the person in control and taking care of others at first this seemed selfish to me). I started out and Continue to this day when feeling stressed or depressed stop and ask myself am I Hungry, Angry, Loney or Tired (HALT). When I recogize which one it may be I can take action.
Sorry to go on and on
Hope anything I said was at least a little bit helpful.

There's a sight I came across on the internet called simple truths.com . They write books and have very motivating dvd's you can watch a short clip of a dvd. I found this site to be very helpful in everyday life. I just click on one of the motivational dvd's and after watching a short clip, I feel better and refreshed. It works for me.

Certainly many people find it a challenge to manage the stress in their lives. I work with the national non-profit organization, Mental Health America. They’ve created a wonderful website [url]www.LiveYourLifeWell.org[ /url], that provides 10 evidence-based tools that are practical and easy-to-follow for people to learn how to combat stress and live mentally healthier lives. Please check it out, you may find it very helpful.

Daily Horoscope for December 24

Leo

Perhaps it's the fact that it's Christmas Eve and everyone is busy, but you can't help feeling that you're walking on eggshells around certain people. Their emotions are very close to the surface and could erupt at a moment's notice, perhaps in a storm of tears or a fit of pique. Calm them down and ask if you can do anything to help.
