Yeah the Medical Technology Industry and Healthcare Industry is pretty lame, but everything's gonna be ok :) AnnaLynn wrote: And btw, I'm TRYING to avoid it. I can't wait still they start on fat people.
1. Fat people file more workman's comp claims then in other group, including smokers!!!
2. With the price of gas, their should be a special tax for fat people. They need bigger cars witch takes more gas to run.
3. They are soon becoming the #1 healthcare cost in America. We should have big taxes on fatty foods.
4. Alot of fat people can't help but give off a offencive smell. Why should I have to stand in line with one in front of me and one behind me while I am trying to breath?
5. They take up more room and leave less for everyone else. That is why some are charged double to fly.
So hold on to your big macks. your next in line.
5.

Yeah, I think they plan to do things like that next (Assuming "they" aren't stopped first which they hopefully will be and I'm sure doing all I can, I know that...) And that is equally wrong. They divide and control people for the purposes of Financial Gain (as well as a few other things such as obtaining control of things and stuff like that...) They are sick, detestable human beings who don't care about any of us as long as they make a few more dollars. Just remember that those who sacrafice Freedom for Security, deserve NEITHER!!!(I forget which historic president said that.....)

Neonmagek is wrong in that coffee and tea do not cause health issues. As for foods high in fat, a small tax on food from places like McDonalds would barely be noticed by reasonable buyers, but would encourage those who are monstrously obese from daily meals there to reconsider.
The other point I would like to make is that the pictures on cigarette packages don't do much good, they just jack up the price in an unfair way. I am a non-smoker in Canada, and I have seen anyone stop smoking because of pictures, labels are enough.

Post it again if you would, please. I would like to have a better look at that. I must have posted it on another thread. It seems they had to drop the "safe zone" to get the thing passed. Too bad. They need to put it back. Not only does it force people to walk through the smoke to get in, but the smoke drafts into the building whenever the door opens. Until the ban, I had to avoid a lot of normal places. Even laundromats could be impossible for me. Staying out of bars wasn't so hard, but we had no smokefree restaurants that didn't have cartoon characters and playlands attached. And it's true what they say--a no smoking area in a room is like a no peeing area in a pool. Smoke, you see, can't read those little signs and usually isn't stopped by a five foot tall filigree partition, either. Sometimes I'd go out with friends without asking where, and then have to leave early or back out entirely. They thought I was being antisocial, when I was only protecting myself. A lot of them have called since the ban to apologize.

Our restaurants here actually believed the smokers' hype that their money was somehow more essential than ours. I said at the time of the ban, when all the doomsayers were in high gear, that they might sit home for a few months, but sooner or later they'd learn to do what nonsmokers have had to do all their lives--learn to put up with it and go out anyway.

So the business owners decided that smokers spent more money then? You will see that places have closed due to bans. They just don't "poll" the right places. There is definitely room for both types of establishments.

So Boston Bob, after all these bans have been overturned (as we were talking about on the other thread), if any Pro-Smokers or even the Tobacco Industry ever tries to do to you what you are apparantly desiring to do to Smokers, I will be doing the same thing to try to protect YOUR RIGHTS! Watch and see!!! Why? Because it's THE RIGHT THING TO DO!!! Think about that, please. After all these bans have been overtuned? Im at a loss. I give up. You are completely dillusionsl. Typical addictive logic. Unbelievable.

I was a cigarrete smoker and I had open heart surgery a year ago. Plenty of problems came from smoking years ago. I stopped smoking nearly 20 years ago but it surely did damage to my heart. If you don't hear anything else, hear this. My operation cost nearly a million dollars. If God would have wanted you to smoke, He would have put a chimney on top of your head. And the scars that I have in my body, tell me that is true everyday.

If God would have wanted you to smoke, He would have put a chimney on top of your head. And the scars that I have in my body, tell me that is true everyday. I know what you are saying, and believe me, I do sympethise! And I hope you are doing ok and all. And yes, I agree that those types of conditions shouldn't be happening to people. But the question is WHO TO PUT THE BLAME ON? Smoking is unhealthy but people do it. There are a bunch of things that cause Medical Conditions such as Cancer (and other things...) and YES, Smoking is one of them! However, that DOES NOT IN ANY WAY negate the fact that the "RWJF Gang" (AHA, ALA, ACS, etc.) has had long enough (and enough MONEY) to FIND the CURES and VACCINES. And there is really no excuse for them not doing so. I mean they have had long enough to get it done. If THEY cannot FIND THE CURES in the AMOUNT OF TIME they have had (about A CENTURY, for real) then THEY need to step aside and turn everything they've got over to somebody who can (Such as myself, strictly for example.) Furthermore there is NO EXCUSE for THEM not being able to. Or, like I said, if they really CAN'T (and aren't just doing it on purpose to keep people sick and get more $$$ off of 'em) then hey, no problem. Take a hike, leave the keys where I can find 'em, and I'll go get the Cures and Vaccines found for everybody (And it sure won't take no 93 years either!!! LOL) The worst part is that they are STILL ALLOWED to operate. I don't think they will be for long but at the moment they are still alive an' kickin'!!! Lying, cheating, stealing, doing wrong to good people... And as I say constantly (all over the Internet) if anybody desires to take any type of action against any member of the RWJF camp or anybody affiliated with them, and I can assist in any way whatsoever (such as offering Testimony as a Expert Witness, for example) I will sure try! And I don't want a thing out of it, other than doing good. Anyway yeah, that's where it's at. Smoking is unhealthy but the problems it causes (including the ones you mentioned) are supposed to have been LONG SINCE solved. And the parties responsible are, in my qualified opinion, guilty of Criminal Neglegance, among other things. And yes, if I was you I would be filing a suit against... probably the AHA if nothing else. Because not only should that Operation have not costed NEAR that much (they should have had better Technology) also the fact that whatever it was should have had not only Cures, but Vaccines so there's NO CHANCE OF ANYBODY EVER CATCHING ANYTHING!!! And the fact that I could means that there is no valid reason THEY couldn't. Not that I can find anyway. And I've discussed this all up and down the Internet and nobody has provided me with one, so I assume I am correct... Anyway yeah, in summary the RWJF is who to put the blame on.

It took me forever to find this link but here it is: http://forums.greenvilleonline.com/viewtopic.... (Of course "AwesomeDude" is me on that site, it goes strait to my post...) That link tells EXACTLY what to do in the type of situation you described (Like before the ban.) I think it's perfect but if you spot anything wrong with it, please do inform me. ruvidu (the poster on that site, it's directed at) is NOT SERIOUS about that. Yeah, s / he ("he" I think) just goes around stirring it up for the fun of it (What it is, we sorta had words once and of course I'm long-since over it, but he's still a bit angry at me, and does that to try to annoy me.....) And he keeps waving that Simpsonville, SC thing but won't make effort for it or talk about it, so I say he's not serious... But I reply to him anyway, because I'm almost positive those posts can help SOMEBODY. And yeah, I think that's pretty perfect from what I can tell. It tells how to handle different things that might come up, like if it's a "rush" (when the place gets really busy at certain times) or if they are hesitant about it at first, or if they get arsey with you when you were cool to them (ALWAYS get Audio of the conversation!!!) and stuff like that... There is one thing, though: It's not very organized AT ALL. That's because I kinda freehanded it and I don't think I had ever posted anything quite like that before. So yeah it's kinda "scattered" if you will. But the content is pretty good, I think...

Please post a link to that story, Smokefree, if you would please. I don't doubt that the Tobacco Industry would do something like that. In fact, I was just commenting on another thread about how they lie every chance they get. Of course in a SPECIFIC case, I would certainly have to look at it to determine which party was wrong. And don't get me wrong, the WHO vs. Big Tobacco is pretty much Crap vs. Crap. And I have very little trust or respect for either one, and rightfully so. But I can look at it. And I can probably make a pretty good assessment of what's what, based on what was said and how it was said and stuff like that... And I would like to do so. So yes, please post a link to that story.
