I quite smoking in January because I became very ill, it has been 9 months since I've smoked a cigarette, I heard tell you are suppose to feel better, taste better, can smell things better, breath better, walk easier, not true. not in my case anyway, but still in all I am fast and furious, being a grand master.

After all the years of smoking, you have done substantial damage...its going to take some time for you to be truly free both mentally and physically!

Care to share the illness that would force the quit...or is that to intrusive....the reason I ask is, I am curious if you got sick because of a smoking related illness.

Just trying to figure out why a "nonsmoker" would talk down about nonsmokers...it makes no sense....
It reminds me of when linda some time back, took shots at and went along with all her ilk when they were slamming democrats, but linda later admitted to being a democrat...a little odd is all and very hypocritical!

Golly gee, I thought that was part of the problem - that some bar owners wanted to allow smoking in their bars but the current laws prohibited that. This is the missing piece about "freedom" that keeps surfacing. You can't have a private smoking club.

well, i don't know, as much as i would love to talk about myself i am afraid i would get badgered to death , the way poor old Tracie did, not that i care to disclose any details about my illness, it's just that things have a way of getting blown out of proportion on these threads and before you know it we are back to arguing over who said what,
and when i use the term, "nonsmokers" ,it is just a figment of speech, a short cut more or less instead of naming all the nonsmokers, it is easier to say, nonsmokers , the same as i say smokers, instead of naming all the smokers, unless i am speaking of an individual than i will use that persons name much like when you are giving a speech in a crowded room of mixed races,if you are directing something towards a certain race such as "you white people should know better" that gives the white people a clue i am talking to them or about them, the same as if i said "you black people know better" it lets the people know who the statement is directed too....nothing hypocritical about it,

so just what are you saying here, could it be that you have come to realize that just because someone does not smoke that they can have a mind of their own with free thought without the majority to back what one says, it is possible you know, just because i don;t smoke doesn't mean i have to agree with you, hell, some times i don't even agree with what the smoker says, it all depends on what is being discussed at the time as to weather i agree or disagree based upon the conversation and not the classification of the people.

what i find to be very hypocritical are the people that are, "once was," .... once was a smoker, once was a drunk, once was a sinner, once was poor..., after most people stop smoking they have the nerve to act like they are better than some one that smokers, you will find this type of behavior in all walks of life, weather you was, a drunk, a sinner, a poor person , a whore, a drug addict or what ever your story may be, not long after you come out of your shell, you soon forget where you came from, all the things that kept you oppressed, down in the dumps, out of touch, you forget your struggles, your worries, your ups and downs, your friends and some times your own family, because all of a sudden you are this new creature, what was once old becomes anew, you get to talking all different, sometimes dressing different, thinking different, doing different things, this is good... as long as you remember who you really are, and what it took for you to get to where you are today, putting someone down for something you use to do yourself is the worse hypocrite there is, not only are you a true hypocrite, you are two faced, not even true to your own self, and what does it say ......

There's a difference between the person and the behavior. Equating the two is, in this case, somewhat excusable when it is an addict who is doing the "thinking". Not so much so in a nonsmoker. That is the sort of gaff that makes people doubt claims of having quit.
