trifecta1 wrote: <quoted text>So you're saying smoking pot makes one a better driver? LOL! Those that favor your arguments, can find reasons to legalize cocaine heroin or any other substance. Legalize every drug, and make it available to anyone 18 and over. That's essentially your argument. Here is an article as to why LSD is the safest drug: http://www.skeptically.org/recres/id13.html Your arguments for pot, someone else can make for their drug of choice. This is true, and if they keep it to themselves then they can do what they want with their body. As for moral beliefs, leave that up to the Lord God, and if you don't believe in God, then mind your own business concerning what someone elses does with their body in their own home without harming anyone else. Either we want real freedom or making excuses why to ban some substance simply because it makes someone feel "fuzzy" in the head will lead to even more excuses as to why they want to ban even more liberties and it'll never stop. That's why I'm trying to explain this is where we have to draw the line: Do whatever you want in your own home, just don't harm anyone elses body, property or liberty and you're fine. Trust me, they can come up with all the excuses 'in the book' as to why they should ban many things for which your eyes would go wide hearing about them. They can talk their way around almost anything and only those who aren't strong with the backbone of personal liberty will give in to it all.

By the way, I don't smoke marijuana, don't care to at all. At most, if they legalized it, I'd try to juice it and drink it as a healthy snack because I'm on a road to natural, organic health in my own life and I have strongly believed marijuana had good nutrients for a long time in it, and is one of my beliefs for the foundation of why they keep it banned: If marijuana gets legalized then people are eating it or juicing it and it helps their health, the pharmaceutical industry will lose billions of dollars a decade because they are in the business of sickness, not of true health!
And we can ask why alcohol is legal then if they're making excuses as to why marijuana is banned? Alcohol is quite a bit worse on the human psyche concerning violence ("Beer muslces") than marijuana will ever be! I've seen first hand my friend who is very hot tempered calm down so much after smoking marijuana many years ago. Alcohol just ramped up his temper and he wanted to fight sometimes when drinking. Marijuana actually made him want to stop violence. It sounds funny, but it's 100% true. Believe what you want though.
I still cannot believe an organic, natural green plant is illegal. This is literally like the Twilight Zone. Such insanity concerning this but this is because of the corruption in the government in connection with pharmaceutical companies seeking financial gain, and legalizing marijuana will ruin their profits a lot in the long run.

I don't know.......... the hair on my palms makes reading to difficult to understand the question.... Whether it's true or not has no foundation in my argument. Even if it killed me after smoking it for a year, I still have the right to do to my body what I choose to because it's mine, not the governments! This is all about a FREEDOM and LIBERTY issue, not nearly as much a "green plant that makes you feel fuzzy in the head!" nor "is it harmful to our lungs?!" issue. People need to wake up to that reality and focus on it because people with power are keeping it banned for reasons many would be shocked to find out the truth about in America today. It's scary really. If they can talk most people into making a green, organic, natural plant that doesn't go on murderous rampages or spread diseases, then what else have they talked people into making illegal for some crazy reason?! Things that make ya go "Uh oh!"

Things that make ya go "Uh oh!" You got that right - in Oklahoma, we can't even go up the old dirt road. Yep, in this state, it's still illegal to have freaky monkey butt sex...even if your co-conspirator in the dirty deed is your spouse!! This is nine kinds of wrong.

dances with weebles wrote: <quoted text> you still can't help but look at it as things are now, can you. if everybody can grow their own in their own yard they won't have to steal someone else's. there won't be any allowable amt, or a limit on what you can grow. do you know what the word 'decriminalise' means? it means that it will be regulated exactly the way that tomatoes and roses are now. is there a limit on how many tomatoes you can grow? what's more, maybe we'll actually be able to see the day when farmers will be able to sell their pot at roadside stands right next to their sweet corn and cucumbers. we can hope, can't we? Well, actually, there would still be pot thieves. People already steal vegetable crops. But there will be less of the violent type of thefts. Now, you have to bust into someone's guarded hiding place if you want to steal pot, and that means an exchange of gunfire. But if it is just sitting in a field, the thieves will just take what they want without leaving a trail of bloodshed. And there would be less theft than now since they can also openly grow their own.

The funny thing is that anyone can have sex with whomever they please, regardless of orientation, and have sex about any way they want, but they cannot put a joint in their mouth without arrest. What gets me is all the talk about reproductive rights and the right to control what goes on inside your body, yet that doesn't include marijuana nor any of the street drugs. Put a penis in your mouth, and you are just exercising choice and sexual freedom, but put a joint in there, and suddenly, you are a hardened criminal. Also, I have the same feelings about Food Nazis. If we have the right to screw what we want, we should have the right to eat what we want, and regardless of consequences to ourselves. Hey, if I want to eat rat poison, that should be my right, though I'd never do that.

http://www.smokersguide.com/sg/index.html God made marijuana, man made alcohol, whom do you trust? Take the tru test! 1 person smokes pot while the other drinks his favorite alcoholic drink. Person 1 keeps smoking until boozer achieves his buzz. Who is driving home? Prosecution Rests... and... TOKES!

I laugh at this because of the numerous times I've been pulled over for speeding (perfect driving record, not one accident) in many states, I drive sports cars. Every time I was smoking a nice blunt (Right Guard kills smoke odor) and the officers did not notice. Our conversations were always pleasant and in some cases I was permitted to continue my journey without a ticket! Try that with booze on your breath! Hint: If pulled over and cop says do you know why I pulled you over? Be honest like me... I sure do officer. Cruise control is set at 87 and I am not driving reckles. Can you give me a warning ticket, I will slow down (boldfaced LIE!)

Come to think of it, people do take rat poison. If they have a clotting disorder, they take warfarin. A lot of rat poison is related to that blood thinner. The rats just bleed to death internally. Also, high dose vitamin D is also used as rat poison (though I've never heard of a fatal overdose in humans). I don't like the concept behind rat poison, since death can be agonizing, and you have no idea where they will die. So if they die while inside the walls, then you have to deal with the odor for some time. If the climate is right, then dead mice/rats in the walls mean more flies too. Oh, being mesmerized by lights is a pot thing. Seeing new or different lights and tripping, that is an LSD thing. While some legal definitions include pot in with hallucinogens, I've never had such effects from trying pot.

Things that make ya go "Uh oh!" You are right. I know since 30 years that the prohibition of drugs is fear selling business right at the start. Anslinger knew that cannabis was far less problematical than alcohol. Yet I would not have voted for Ron Paul 4 years ago, because I was skeptical on his critics on the war on terrorism. But since Obama signed the bill NDAA, which creates a class of citizens (the "suspect" of terrorism) to which the human rights nor the constitution apply, I begin to think it is also fear selling business, and gangster self-protection. We asked Obama to legalize MJ, and he legalized state terrorism. Ron Paul was right on the two "wars". I have googled on "suspect on terrorism" and discovered that among the FBI reason to be suspected was ... to support Ron Paul, or even just to support the constitution! You can look here also: http://www.youtube.com/watch... Something is going wrong in America, and it concerns everyone on the planet. 5 years of prohibition of alcohol gave Al Capone. 75 years of prohibition of marijuana gave the bill NDAA. Obama signed it after vetoing all proposed amendments protecting the constitution and the human rights. Uh oh!(indeed). Now we have to fight for the legalization of marijuana, and all drugs, IF ONLY to save democracy.
