Judged: 2 2 2 Since revolutionary politicians nationalized Big Tobacco, both Big Tobacco profits and tobacco taxes collected by Government are higher than any other time in history. Most high paid operators of organizations that lobby for even more taxes being imposed on decent non-smokers as well as on their decent tobacco smoking friends have paid their high priced Government lawyers to license themselves as "tax exempt" non "profit" organizations. That is to say, high cost taxpayer subsidized organizations. Despite the fact that there has never been a single credible documented case of anyone ever "dying" from smoking tobacco, these rich taxpayer subsidized "non Profit" outfits make fantastic claims that "millions" are "dying" from imaginary "secondhand smoke", hoping a gullible "public" will not get wise to the scam until the operators of these scams become rich. Isn't it interesting that most of these self-proclaimed taxpayer funded revolutionary Government sponsored "public interest" organizations are among the biggest beneficiaries of Big Tobacco money? Isn't it also interesting to recall that, because of the total failure of revolutionary politicians' economic and social programs, thousands of convicted criminals are being released back into the community where they will continue plying their trade? Yet, revolutionary politicians seem to have no trouble coming up with plenty of hard earned taxpayer money to flood the Government licensed electronic media airways with expensive television "anti-tobacco smoker" junk science propaganda. Judged: 1 Salty Dog. The revolutionaries *(now in power)* had their criminal real estate industry convince gullible poorly educated Americans that buying a Government controlled home is "an investment", rather than an expensive liability. As a result, the price of aging housing stock was bid up and the revolutionaries got rich. Unfortunately, this "taxpayer guaranteed" scheme ended with the entire world's current suffering. Revolutionary Government's "war" against decent Americans who do not smoke tobacco - as well as those who do - is just one of the clever means the revolutionaries employ to distract attention away from the failures of the 60s era economic and social programs they suffered on the American people. Judged: 3 2 2 I applaud the effort, though. I have to admit I have some reservations about the intelligence of the guy, though. I poked around a bit and found this gem: "Goltiao heads the organization’s Project ASHES, which he says stands for 'alleviating second-hand smoke exposure.'” Somebody can't spell. |

Judged: 1 1 Hugh Jass. Exactly. If we could believe anything revolutionary Government says -*(and of course we cannot)*- "millions" of sickly Americans are simply "dropping dead" because of imaginary "secondhand smoke". Everyone knows that, since revolutionary Government seized control of Big Medicine and Government's Big Drug industries, Americans have spent more on phony Government Voodoo medical "care" than the rest of the world combined. Even so, it's hard to believe Government has caused overtaxed Americans to become so sickly that they are dropping dead because of imaginary "secondhand smoke", unless one takes "the Haitian effect" into consideration. Wrong Again. Not necessarily. Take, for example, the radical controlled city of Long Beach, home of one of the most radical of the expensive taxpayer funded Government universities in the entire California revolutionary Government university system. Long Beach is a typical California city that has a voting majority of poor people and taxpayer supported violent Thugs. The city is among the top cities for its unemployment rate in the entire nation. The radical Long Beach revolutionary ruling class began The current anti-smoker Terror by abusing the city's decent hard working overtaxed and underrepresented taxpaying minority who smoke tobacco as a means of increasing taxes on and increasing Government control over the city's law abiding overtaxed and underrepresented more numerous non-smokers of good-will. One would think - were revolutionary Council consistent in their application of THE LAW!-*(and, of course, they are not)* they would be just as anti pothead as they are anti decent tobacco smoker. One would be wrong were he to think that. Revolutionary Long Beach Council has expended no one knows how much hard earned taxpayer money for the purpose of "regulating" illegal Pot "dispensaries" into legality. Judged: 1 1 bar60. Taxpayer funded revolutionary Government control of "social" websites is much more effective means of having ideas sent "down the memory hole" *(so to speak)* Several times I posted links on a Topix thread where the subject of the debate was Homosexuality. The links I posted were links to a powerful ruling Senator's web page where he was pandering - as the politicians often do - to our friends in the Homosexual community and the lesbians. My posts contained no vulgarity or untruths, nor did they contain any defamation of the powerful Senator. For a time nothing happened. Then, all of a sudden, all my Topix posts were deleted, whether or not they had anything to do with the subject of Homosexuality or not. Ronald |

Judged: 1 Wanglow. Your line of thought parallels mine. Recently we have been subjected to the sorry spectacle of revolutionary ruling class presidential candidates bragging about how much they have paid in taxes. All they have done is to feed the beast so it will have more power to more easily come after the nation's ordinary worker ("middle") class taxpaying minority who always get stuck with the bill. Judged: 1 1 1 Well, perhaps you can arrange redirection of the funds that would otherwise have been spent to clean up cigarette butts and packs from the parks. |
|
No HJ, the snark point was that the tax California smokers pay on a pack of cigarettes benefits in part children without healthcare insurance coverage. Meathead Reiner stuffed that down our throat. By reducing smoking due to cost and other restrictions de jour, we will also reduce the monies available for "the children", which in turn will lead to further bleeding of the ordinary taxpayer, and frankly, I am fed up with bleeding heart causes. Littering is a totally different issue. I am not a smoker and should I encounter any cig butts while relaxing in a park I will pick them up and discard them for the thoughtless butt tossers. Now go and enjoy the rest of the day. |
