I wish i could add more but all i have to say is ME TOO, some doctor needs to read this forum.
I'm not a doctor, but sometimes there is an interruption of sleep patterns. Some sleep meds help more than others. One called Sonata (Zaleplon) can be taken with middle of the night insomnia and doesn't leave residual hangover effects in the AM. You could try this for a short time and see if it works. I had a detailed blood test and my magnesium level is normal. Two values were not normal.
My "sedimentation" was high and "alanin aminotransferaz" was low. my doctor said results are OK and my problem is psychological and suggested me to see a psychologist.

I have had this problem for nearly a year now. Started with not being able to get to sleep but now I sleep for an hour or two but wake around 1-3 am and cant get back at all.I have to get up at 6.50 am for work so Iam constantly tired but also feel wired at the same time which is strange.

My problem is solved by itself. Perhaps the stress & sadness had caused some functionality in my body to break. I avoided drinking coffee/tea after noon and drank relaxation teas for a couple of days. maybe that helped. Now everything is normal and I can drink coffee and tea as much as before.

I am going through the same thing. I will go to bed at 10:30 and wake up at 3:00 in the morning. you probably dont have the same reason as me, but why it happens to me is because im bipolar. early awakening, and insomnia are a few of the symptoms of being bipolar.

Your Open QuestionShow me another »
HI!:), heres my question: I have been getting horrible erratic sleep of late in which I wake up several times?
I wake up several times every night of late.. and this hasn't ever occured at any point prior to this point in my life... I usually sleep GREAT and DEEP, and NEVER awake at night, or at least its quite rare.. but now I awake a bunch, particularly later in the night/ early part of the morning... like ive been waking up a ton of days lately at times around like 5 AM, 6 AM, 7 AM, etc.. and that's fine BUT the problem is I have a really, REALLY difficult time getting back to sleep, if i even do at all... prior to this problem i had just completed 28 days in rehab,of which I slept BETTER than ever before in my life, then upon leaving rehab and moving next door I keep having sleep problems, pretty much nothing other than scenery and location has changed from rehab to now being out of rehab, im still on all the same medications, Effexor, Wellbuitron, Lamictal, And Seroquel.. the room i sleep in is protected from the sun beaming in on me so it ain't an issue of lighting waking me up, any thoughts, ideas, hints, clues, suggestions, advice, wisdom, experiences to share with me on HOW to solve this pain in the *** of a problem..???????

I have had this problem too. I was able to resolve it by getting out of any bright light around 10 and making my surroundings as dark as possible. If you want to watch TV, turn the brightness down all the way. This seemed to create enough melatonin to carry me through the whole night. Hope it helps.

Check your liver function. If you keep waking up at 3-5am every day for no reason... it's your liver!

I've had this problem also. Wake up at 3:15 AM then again at 5 am can't get back to sleep. I just get woken up by noise. At 3:15 is the newspaper delivery person. Parks right in front of my house with the car running, gets out slams door, gets back in slams door and zooms off. On Sunday doesn't happen cause no paper that day :) Isn't easy getting back to sleep when ur woken up in middle of nite. I think thats normal.

Omg; I have the same problem too! Although I go to sleep abit early/: so that might be the problem. But I usually be able to sleep perfect!

Could it be I'm worried about my bf? He's been down lately and can't stop thinking:(

When I wake up I would make my self some tea to warm me up to try going back to sleep and that's the only things that works!-but I wake up to use the bathroom:s

If anybody could help?:'( it would be great (=w=)d

Was initiated by a perfected spiritual master 35 years ago and have done a lot of meditation. Since I became connected to the Shabd (Sound Current of God or Word of God)I became aware that all of the perfected masters of Sant Mat become absorbed in it and do not sleep. Most advanced initiates do not sleep either because sleep involves the soul's attention going down and not up as it does when absorbed by the Sound Current. As a consequence I have slept very little for many years, do not feel tired or sleepy, am very conscious and very productive.

You guys are all mostly british right?
I think I have the solution to your problems!

Crack the window open before going to bed, trust me its the heat, I used to live in south of china. Its like tropical over there (not like, it is!) and woould find myself many night awake in the middle of the night due to overheating.

If youre like any other english I know then this is your problem!

Hope this helps :)
