sounds like the process described when people are almost slipping into the astral state. sounds like you're on the verge of out-of-body experiences. especially the buzzing and hallucinations. i'd suggest some research- the experiences have been described as frightening, especially when you don't know what's happening.

also- pharmacies don't address the root cause of your problem. they don't address why you are having a problem, but rather just covers up the fact that there is a problem. stop taking medicine and the problem returns! i agree that it could be a spiritual issue but i don't know that praying to jesus is going to help. jesus is a spirit who guides and protects out to millions, but other people have different spirit guides which is why jesus doesn't resonate with everyone. Off topic, I know. Not to be repetitive, this problem seriously sounds like the beginning stages of astral projection.

I feel that I am awake, yet I have no control over my body and i can only breathe. I believe this to be sleep paralysis. I usually sleep with my sister in the room. The only thing I can control is my breathing so I breathe really deeply over and over to try to get her attention, and at times she wakes me up. Also.. I feel like electric shock feeling all though my body but mostly the back of my neck or in my brain. I cant really describe where I feel the shocks I just know it hurts a little, and then finally I either fall back to sleep, or i move a finger or force my eyes open. At times when I force my eyes open, I can still feel the shock feeling for about 10 seconds or so... And then if I try to fall back asleep, I feel it start happening again so I force myself to stay awake. Its really strange and I cant really describe the feeling to anyone else beacuse they dont understand.

All this time I thought I was the only person to feel this. I used to think it was a nightmare but i guess not.

Once i got her to wake me up... before this, i thought they were only nightmares. I breathe deeply over and over just like you and i could hear her watching TV, she finally shook me and asked me if I was ok. Prior to this, had told her about my issue so I was convinced this was not a nightmare. I too force myself to stay awake for maybe 5 minutes, otherwise it happens as soon as you close your eyes... what could it be?

I call this a trans when suddenly it feels like my brain is stuck somewhere and got into a trans. Then I try to get out of this situation and try to wake my brain up with my force then in response my body get shocks. But this is quite different now. Now when I get into this trans I try to stay calm and it feels like my brain is getting into some deeper space but at last a wake up with a shock and all this time when I was in this trans I was conscious and not sleeping. Once I was taking a nap and my friend was sitting beside me I got into the trans and I used so much force and moved my hand and gripped my friend's arm. When I woke up i asked my friend did I hold your arm he replied NO. There are many events like these happened with me while in this state. Sometimes I feel very strange because I see real things and I am present there bt not physically. While seeing the things in this state the things are quite blur but real and even real people around me which are actually there but when I ask them they say your eyes were closed and you were sleeping. this is a mystery to me and very strange. can anyone please help me with this issue??? You know whats so wierd is I get this same feeling and when I look around its almost like when i look around and turn my head it turns in like a slow motion with trails. And I can hear this loud breathing of mine. THe jolt and electricity is so wierd feeling like your about to blast from the earth!

The more I pray in Jesus' name the worse it gets. I've interpreted this as the devil's wrath becoming greater and greater the more I pray. And then it all just disappears when I wake up. You're not crazy. I've noticed that if I pray before sleeping, or if I read the Bible before sleeping I've been protected and blessed with restful sleep. Keep praying. Keep God close to your heart. Best wishes to you!

Hi every1. this electric shock happen to me twice, however its not happen to me like u people. for the first time, i just want to put myself in a good sleep, so i try to relax by let go off my body, breath slowly, then 2 minutes later i feel an electric shock over my body and i feel like my body is lifting up. Im interested in this feeling. so i try it again, but the electric shock is not strong like the beginning. After a while, 2 weeks later (now), when im sleeping, the electric shock suddenly happen. today, i have my mom and sister in the room with me (last time i'm with my gf), the TV was still on. I know that im in sleep, but when i feel the electric thing, i feel like waking up, i can hear the noise from tv, can hear my mom and sister snoring. so i let it happen to me, let my body go for it. The electric is getting stronger and stronger, and i cant hold myself. i read all the comments in this issue, and its exactly how i feel: the buzz around your ear, electric shock over the body. u feel like your soul getting out of the body. i can turn around and see thing and call my mom, but when i wake up completely, mom said see didnt hear anything (she's really sensitive with noise). i think i 'd be able to pull myself into this state, but im too scare to get to that level. Its seem like you can do something, or see thing when you get over the highest shocking state. Anyone who experience the highest state, let me know. email: micutran@hotmail.com

I finally figured this out. While sleeping your brain works on a different frequency than when awake; alpha/theta/beata, not sure which is which, but If you happen to gain consiousnes while sleeping your brain will create two different frequencies. These frequencies create friction e.g. virbrations. This is like when a car with unbalanced tires reaches a certain speed; it creates a virbration. The virbrations stop once your brain frequencies have time to sync and you then enter into a lucid dream. This can be very scary but if you keep in mind that this is a natural event and that you are about to enter a lucid dream you will be fine. This happens to me almost nightly. I too am a Christian and I find that it helps me to know that G-d, the creater of time space and matter, is with me while this is happening. I hope this helps ease your mind about this even.

I experienced this 4 the first time when I was 18. Then it happened to me again today. Only my experience is really euphoric. Scary also. But it feels really good. The 1st time it happened I thought I had been visited by aliens or some thing. I see images also. A black creature sitting on the end of my bed the 1st time. Then today I saw a little girl in yellow reaching out for my hand. I really don't think it has anything to do with "god". I researched 'tic deloueux' and my experience doesn't seem to fit that medical explination.

It's like an electric shock in my brain. I can't move. I don't hear any buzzing, but I DO feel like I'm buzzing. I have been a bit down reciently. Sleeping to much. Mabye that's got something to do with it. Scared to go to sleep tonight in case it happens again. Still have a slight headache from this event earlier today.

I'm not scared anymore. After doing loads of research I've decided what I am probably most of you are suffering from. Sleep paralasis. It's totally ok. It seems freaky and religious... But really it's just a brain fart. I want it to happen again now. Bring it on! I like the concept of it being a lead into astral projection. That would b nice. But I don't think it's true. Last time it happened to me I felt I was jumping around my local neighbourhood, after the electric, zapping sensation. I was jumping around my childs school. However, her school had reciently been partially burnt down. After I had fully awoken I tried hard to remember the details of her school. Within my experience. Her school was not burnt. That means I was not experiencing astral projection, it was a dream. Bring it on Old Hag! I wana c u again! Your no devil. Just an amazing part of my brain showing me how powerfull u r.

Opal, you are right, this is sleep paralysis and I'm glad to hear that, like me, you are ok with it. What I would like to know is,“what is the mind able to do while in this stage”. Though you said it was a, "brain fart", I bet, after consideration you would agree with me that once you have one of these experiences it hard to believe that this is really a brain fart. Rather I believe that this is a rare ability that has a purpose of some type. It is too realistic and enjoyable to simply happen as a malfunction. What are we suppose to learn during these experiences? Anyone have any advice?

I've dealt with the zap over the years once in a while..now it seems like its persistent. Its like I'm subconscious and once the shock happens I feel like I'm floating in the air.. I'm awake but paralyzed. I keep saying over and over God has not giving me a spirit of fear but that of love, power and a sound mind and I go back to normal shortly after that. The fear is overwhelming. Anyone relate?
