State officials say instances of STDs increasing among teens

I know it is taboo for my generation, but this is why it is so important to teach our children about safe sex!! I want my chidren to practice abstinance, but reality tells me I want healthy children without babies, so I teach them about sexually transmitted deseases and safe sex practices. If more parents would take this stance to STD's, unwanted preganancy, and aids, our children might be a little safer!

I totally agree with you. I just can't believe how some of the parents that I grew up with let their children just go and do whatever. The things we did @ 16 are what the kids these days are doing at 13 and 14. I feel like parents should WAKE up and stop trying to be their childrens best friends and BE PARENTS!
