Jackson County jury awards $500,000 to widower for wrongful death of wife

Maybe now the rest of these pill slinging quacks will learn to be more careful in what they prescribe and who the prescribe it to. I personally think 500 grand isn't enough. It needs to be a stiffer penalty followed by jail time to serve as an example.

i agree. Its a shame these drs hand out pills like candy to folks they know abuse them and then the people who are honest to god in pain cant get them but people who are hooked have a lifetime supply. I guess they cant get good business any other way so they have to hand out pills...just take a look at the people in their parking lots lol... Damn shame. I dont even like telling my dr when im really in pain because i dont want her thinking im one of "them." ive even had my sons medicine stolen from my house because it was a narcotic!! Thank the good lord he didnt need it. He is only 5 so whoever got them wouldve had to take all of them to get a fix. Taking from a child? These folks are sad sad sad.

I wish they would fine any doctor prescribing unneeded pain meds or xanax or any of that crap half of stevenson and bridgeport is hooked on. I grew up there and was a pothead done meth done coke etc. and I have been clean 11 years but I never understood the pill thing. Pillheads are so annoying I mean atleast when you tell a crackhead you dont know anyone who has any crack they leave you alone, a damn pillhead will call you every 30 min hey man you know anybody thats got some tabs?Ive seen alot of familys destroyed over painpills in stevenson and bridgeport and its sad and my family is included in that. Keithley started em all on it and calhoun aint worth a f--- either he just making all the money on it he will damn sure write out a script to just depends on if you are hott or not as to what you get and if he think he going to get some. I NEVER LIKED EITHER 1 BOTH ARE PIECES OF SHIT DOCTORS.My daddy was under both drs the day he died he saw calhoun barely walking I was helping him walkcouldnt hold his head up hardly dying with cancer, Calhoun said I see you next month after writing all his scripts I said no the f--- you wont. I wouldnt take an enemy to him
