small black dots

Soooo, man am I nervous to tell u guys about this... I bought a pocket microscope and turned in to 100x and I see a few (veryyyyy few) black dots on my skin. Like a little bigger than a period. What is this? I thought u could see a mite fully when you have a microscope that's a 100x ?

you may have bird mites.

Yeah what's with the black dots I saw them with my eyes. After putting tea tree oil on then I painted clear nail polish on 5 itchy bumps. It stopped the itching and in two days a black dot came to the surface on most of them. One bump a white semi hard thing showed up and then the water blisters came. I cleaned them up showered rapped them and awoke to the worse headache I felt like someone poisened me. I couldnt keep anything down all day. DO they put out a toxic substance when their mad? You know they remind me of head lice the way and where they itch. Got sexually assaulted almost 2 yrs ago and no one did a thing. I can only hope he got them I think that is worst then jail. LOL.

I had the black dots, too. Very, very tiny things. I took a sample of about 30 of them to a new dermatologist yesterday, one outside my HMO, with a sterling reputation and 50 years experience treating this kind of thing. He looked at them under a microscope, and even let me look at them. Turned out to be nothing. Some were fibers from clothes, some just looked like bigger dots, so let's just say they were "miscellaneous". But the doctor showed me a picture of what a mite looks like under a microscope, and none of what I brought in looked like a mite under a microscope. It may just be nothing, but because we are so traumatized with the itching, we think we are seeing something that is really nothing. Anyway, if it is really upsetting you, there truly is no money better spent than going to an expert dermatologist and taking the samples in to him/her to analyze. Trying to self diagnose by reading the stuff on the internet is a sure way to make a person looney as hell. When you do find a good doc, Make sure he/she also examines your body carefully with a large, lighted magnifying glass, and does a skin scraping. Mine did, and I was so happy to hear him say I was mite-free, just suffering from hypersensitive skin after doing five permithrin treatments. He gave me a shot of cortisone to relieve the itching, gave me some cortisone cream, and instructed me to take tepid oatmeal baths.
