Peter belittles rosacea sufferers who have had to alter their lives, jobs, mates. This truly means he does not understand it.

His doctor is notorious for misdiagnosing acne for rosacea (just ask many of the UK rosacea sufferers) and is definitely not well-respected in many parts of the UK and most of the US.

Doctor Michael Day was a highly respected GP who gave me a considerable amount of help regarding my rosacea and was one of the reasons why I got a referral to see Tony Chu the famous dermatologist. He will be missed by myself and all his many patients. Now what you write is total nonsense because why would my GP be known in the US?

I believe you are a half decent guy, but you cannot reference a hate site as facts. That's not the way it works. You say, here are the facts and then point to a site that has taken one part of one post and contorted it beyond all recognition. Its like pointing to a book or site about slavery and stating, here are the facts. Just because you write something does not mean its true. More importantly, when a few people have a personal vendetta than truth and unbias presentation go out the window.

A note from a doctor saying someone has rosacea is not worth the paper its printed on. We all know how many people have been misdiagnosed by physicians as they dont understand this disorder. I have a note saying I have seb derm from the first doctor, a note saying I have psoriasis from my fifth doctor and a note saying I have atopic dermatitis from another expert physician.

I dont have any of these. Just rosacea.

Seriously grow up. The physician owes you the money if anything. Ive had nearly 30 laser treaments without any effect and never blamed it on anyone. Your an adult. You can make your own decisions. Take responsibility.

By the way, Dr. darm is the only one who had some effect on my rosacea. Dr. Soldo stole $10,000 dollars from me because he had no idea what he was doing. I dont go around blaming people. We all know that people respond differently and Dr. Darm had a heck of a track record and some of the best patient turn arounds I've seen.

I also remember Dr. Nase asking people to wait until he was in Portland Oregon so that he could treat people personally. Obviously you did not, so you took your chances and not his advice. I was waiting for him to move out there and set up shop. That would have been the wise thing to do.

Yes I am filing a complaint, thank goodness I saved all the screen shots and correspondence with him, before and after, and everything that he posted on his website re: Darm.

1. First there are no IP Addresses originating from Fishers as if it was a black hole - nice one.

2. Then you state that all these posts originate from Fishers. First, they dont. Second, you can't see them as you dont have access to any personal information so that one is an over the top deceptive lie. Third, you say this should be checked out by the Topix admin? Why should it if you so boldly know that these originate from Fishers by just looking at the post. Magical powers.

I guess this is where opinions differ. I do not see it as a hate site. The DB's uncovered some disturbing facts, and used their site to present them along with supporting evidence.

Admittely, the site does rely on Geoffrey's own posts for much. The writers have found major contradictions in Geoffrey's posts and used them to call him out on his lies.

However, they do also post links to the original threads so readers can evaluate the quotes in the context of their original discussions.

Is that not a fair and legitimate way to present an argument? It certainly beats the venomous crap that circulates on this board.

Sadly, the physician is the ONLY one qualified to make such a diagnosis.

A SCIENTIST may know MUCH about the SCIENCE of a disorder, but that in no way qualifies him / her to diagnose or treat that disorder. These tasks require a completely different skill set. Becoming involved in healthcare and working along side physicians and other professionals has enabled me to see this.

I used to cuss my physician too for not supporting me in my self-diagnosis and granting me prescriptions for whatever medications I'd heard might help. In hindsight, I can see that my physician was ABSOLUTELY correct in his judgement. I had wanted to try medications that a certain scientist thought would greatly improve my symptoms (based on the science of rosacea). However, my doctor knew the dangerous road I was treading, and insisted I try numerous lifestyle modifications first. Frustrated, I agreed. Four years later, and under the guidence of a physician, I see that my rosacea was being fired up by several environmental factors which were easily dealt with. Now my skin is much better.

A scientist recommended a wide variety of pills, potions and treatments. But it was a physician who conscientiously guided me through that mine-field and helped me find the root of my problem. His skills as a clinician turned out to be far more important.

I now shudder at my former arrogance in thinking I knew best. My physician knew comparatively little about rosacea, but his experience as a physician lead him to treat me safely, appropriately, and effectively. I don't believe that any other variety of professional could have do the same. Had done it my way, I would without question be in seriously trouble right now. I believe I would be addicted to prescription medications, and would have spent many additional thousands on treatments.

So I disagree with your assessment of doctors. If you're seeing a bad one, go find a better one. Don't ever think you can do it alone with only the advice of the internet to compensate. At best, you'll end up with an empty pocket.
