What about Nizoral? Has anyone tried that for your face and had good results? It is an antifungal over the counter shampoo.

My derma. gave me printed instructions to shampoo my hair, face, ears and beard using H & S Classic, 3 times a week (using a timer and leave it on for 5 minutes). Rinse well then apply hydrocortisone cream to facial area and beard to releive the burning and itching that may occur. For me, it is the longest 5 min you can imagine...my face burns and itches the whole time. This course of action did the trick, and no ill effects from the treatment. She said my affliction is Sub. Dermatitus, a type of yeast infection. Hope this helps

After I cleanse my scalp with head and shoulders I use the foam to cleanse my face. It does a great job on clogged pores and seems to be more gentle on my face when used as a foam.

for the head and shoulder, do you just apply it all over your face or just on the pimples/zits?

I suffered from dermatitis fungolitis for years. Face, legs, chest, arms. I saw several dermatologists who all prescribed a variety of steroid based creams, lotions, foams and other medical based treatments. Very costly. Finally, one day in the shower, I decided to use my Head and Shoulders Classic Clean for my face and body. It was light bulb idea, i thought, heck, it works for my scalp, maybe it will work. I chose to do this for 1 week. I allowed the shampoo to sit on my skin for about a minute. Well what do you know, within a few days everthing cleared up and mind you, I had severed dermatitis that would not go away even with the steroids! Now I only use it once it a week for maintenance. Stupid dermatologists dont know shit!

I have been using head and shoulders for about 3 months and it has done wonders, this is how i do it for those who are confused. First I use a exfoliator in the shower, i prefer clean and clear scrub you can get at wallgreens, leave on for like a minute, and then apply head and shoulders CLASSIC, on top of the face wash and leave on for about 3 minutes and then let the water rinse it of and pat my face dry. DO NOT LEAVE IT ON OVER NIGHT WITHOUT WASHING IT OFF. I strongly recomend this for anyone concerned about their skin. For those who have been doing this i have a question, does it tend to just hide the pimple under your skin as a small red mark instead of completley removing it?? happens to me sometimes just wanted to see if any one else has had the same!?

I just started the Head and Shoulders routine by taking the suds from my hair and using them on my face. It cuts down on the irritation and does a nice job on the pores.

I have used head & shoulders for 2yrs now and it works for me,so i think any one that has an acne or pimples should try it for a smooth and radiant skin.

Seriously awesome product. I disagree with the post of the M.D. above of incorrect diagnosis.

I use head & shoulders 4 times a week on my face. I also use clean & clear in shower facial the 3 days im not using head & shoulders. I have seen really good results. Not only is my skin clearing up nicely but the pores on my nose appear smaller. I also noticed my back was starting to break out so I use head & shoulders everyday as a body wash. I have been doing this for about 2 weeks and the results are pretty amazing.

I am having an OMG moment. I developed severe cystic acne 3 years ago. Have tried everything to cure it. I just realized that I developed the acne precisely when I stopped using head and shoulders. My hairdresser told me my dandruff was caused by not blow drying my hair. So, I stopped the head and shoulders and started blow drying my hair (she was right- no dandruff). I'm going to the drugstore right now to buy some head and shoulders.

incorrect condition wrote: <quoted text> Dear Doug, Whilst many people may find this helpful it is not because of the ingredents found in these anti-dandruff shampoo's but genrally a patients incorrect diognosis. The most likely condition you have is Seborrheic Dermatitis. The above condition presents with similar symptoms to that of Rosacea, Red and blotchy skin, it is infact a hereditary condition that causes the skin cells to reproduce to quickly and gives the apperance of red skin. Seborrheic Dermatitis is a yeast based infection and therfor requires ongoing prevention to correctly manage your condition. A quick and basic treatment is as follows; Wash face with a anti dandruff shampoo for 10 minutes a day 10 days in a row and twice weekly for the rest of your time. Whilst in the initial stages of treatment apply resolve plus 1% to the effected area, this anti fungle product uses a mild steriod and will accelerate your recovery. Please give feedback to this advice. Luke OK M.D Hey thanks Luke. I tried it a couple times and it was way too harsh. Looks like this is better suited for seborrheic dermatitis than rosacea.

This happened to me.. except without the pussing. What did you to to clear that up? Ive tried using burn cream, but it only did so much..
