That sounds random, dont know why it would do that, seems like it would do more harm than good in the long run though

It is worth a try. Rosacea is treated with antibiotics. Head and Shoulders has two brands, one with a zinc base and the other a sulfide. Both ingredients are antibiotics. I visited a dermatologist recently who prescribed a steroid cream for a persistant flaky spot on my face. He also noticed I have rosacea but I cannot be treated for either appropriately because I am pregnant. He said to use the steroid cream in addition to the sulfide based Head and Shoulders on my hair in the meantime. He said he did not know why, but when used together it works better. I did not feel comfortable using the steroid cream weekly - so I will try the shampoo on my face for a week or two and see what happens. I just add one drop to my regular facial cleanser. We'll see.

I am a 31 year old female. My scalp was breaking out towards the nape of the neck - very badly. The pimples were very large and it often put a lot of pressure around the base of my neck. My mom said she's been using Head and Shoulders for 30 years, and that it is great at treating the scalp. I tried it. In 2 weeks, all my scalp pimples were completely gone! On top of that, all my pimples (including cystic ones) around my neck and my checks cleared! And I almost always have at least one! So I started researching online and it sounds like a lot of people thing Zinc can help treat acne. I'm going to add some Zinc to my diet, and maybe try washing my face with H&S. Otherwise I might try some Diaper Rash cream which has Zinc Oxide. I can't wait to have clear skin!

i've been using this too and im 14 & I Have Noticed alittle differnce but i dont have acene i just have alot of zits on my face chest &back and i was wondering will it still work?

I got into the shower one day and noticed that I had run out of soap. All I had was Head and Shoulders dandruff shampoo. I figured "heck, it's soap!" and tried it on my body, as well as my face.
My skin (especially my face) has never been clearer and blemish free!!
I searched to see if anybody else had this experience, and that's how I came upon this post. I highly recommend it!

Dear Doug, Whilst many people may find this helpful it is not because of the ingredents found in these anti-dandruff shampoo's but genrally a patients incorrect diognosis. The most likely condition you have is Seborrheic Dermatitis.
The above condition presents with similar symptoms to that of Rosacea, Red and blotchy skin, it is infact a hereditary condition that causes the skin cells to reproduce to quickly and gives the apperance of red skin. Seborrheic Dermatitis is a yeast based infection and therfor requires ongoing prevention to correctly manage your condition.
A quick and basic treatment is as follows;
Wash face with a anti dandruff shampoo for 10 minutes a day 10 days in a row and twice weekly for the rest of your time. Whilst in the initial stages of treatment apply resolve plus 1% to the effected area, this anti fungle product uses a mild steriod and will accelerate your recovery.

When the skin is oily is when acne seems to break out worse. If the skin is a bit dry the better off your skin will be to clear up. Keep using it"

Keep in mind that stress will also play a big part in acne brakeouts, so dont let things bother you . I know it's hard because people feel self concious about their apearance.

I have used Head & Shoulders and it does work, just dont use a wash cloth to wash your face, this will avoid burns to the skin. Use your hands or if you do use a cloth ,dont scrub your face to hard.

i used this product and so far happy but can get rid of scars besides pimples

I had the same results. I have EXTREMELY sensituve skin and cannot even use the most gentle cleanser on my face to clear up my acne and blemishes. I even went to a dermatologist and my skin got even worse. I used head and shoulders and not only my scalp is better but my skin, face, neck, chest, back, has improved!!! I recommend those who have this similar experience with a difficult skin condition to try it.

be careful. i used head and shoulders after hearing that if left on overnight would help to clear my condition. not only was this false, but it burned my skin, leaving pussing blisters. i do not recommend leaving it on your skin.

it,s very good for acne .if we apply it on our face it really washed out all the pimples from face so don,t forget to use it on face for acne problems........thanks

its very bad its fall my hairs i think its good but its not.

Ive been using head and shoulders classic clean shampoo on m face for almost a year now... I had a bad acne problem and NOTHING would get rid of it. The classic clean shampoo is the only thing that keeps my face clear from acne but also its made most of my blemishes disappear. Yes it can dry your face out but as long as you use a good facial mosturizer its fine. i use oil of olay afterwards and i havent had dry skin. any other acne treatment i have used in the past would dry my skin out and no mositurizers were strong enough to heal it. i highly recommend people try it. but make sure its the classic clean shampoo only
