WHERE CAN YOU GET A LIST OF FOOD
|
I think I'm not sure but from reading about rheumatoid and being a mild sufferer compared to some, I know you have to personally find out what foods make you flare. Like a chemistry thing, whats good for one may not be ok for the other person were all different blood types. Read the book on Blood type diet, and many arthritics are allergic to nightshade foods, like peppers, eggplants, potatoes and tomatoes, they find they can cause flammatory response. |

I find that strawberries play havoc with me, and my father also suffered the same effect. I ate strawberries last night - just a few - and today my hands and feet are agony. My father used to say that he had similar effects if he ate tomatoes more than once a week, and also red peppers. Perhaps its something to do with the natural colouring....

Just some thoughts related to food color. Chinese medicine has a philosophy that "red" represent "hot"/"Sun " and may be "inflam" according to the modern terminology. I guess this is the reason why Lynne reacts to food which is in red.
Lynne, have you tried other "red" color foods and give you the same effect? |

Search for the words Night Shades on the internet.
Also, these can cause inflammation: milk carbs including bread and sugar soy |

Judged: 4 Once it's back in this good state, the things you think you are unable to enjoy like strawberries will tell a different story. I USED to be allergic to watermelon and green apples but not any more, I eat those two things like CRAZY now! My soulmate USED to be intensely allergic to tomatoes, bannanas and cat hair but guess what, not anymore! And I have two friends, one who's entire body was stricken with severe rheumatoid arthritis so bad that he wore out chairs and the other had arthritis in her hands so bad that she didn't rest thru a full night of sleep for 10 years without waking up crying in the middle of the night. My soulmate and I introduced this scientific discovery to them both and now they do what we do and spread the word because it's ONLY word-of-mouth. Both of them by the way are in such great shape healthwise that Eric, the one that wore out chairs walks around his mobile home community and is up on ladders painting homes which people can't believe and Paula, the one with arthritis in her hands now sleeps really good EVERY night and travels with her husband state to state. Tell me the body isn't remarkable given the right nutririon. GOD is GREAT. |

Judged: 1 I have to admit though, I have a problem with people above like Ann. We are all asking the same thing and Ann is just trying to sell her products and religion. I find that offensive and just plain not nice. I don't doubt her ideas work for her, but we are all looking for foods that we should stay away from. Now, anyone besides Ann have any ideas? |

I realize there is not yet any scientific evidence that nightshade foods agravate osteo arthritis but I can tell the readers that 100% of the time when I eat any of the nightshade foods I suffer for at least three days. This is especially true for "hot foods" such as Mexican or anything containing peppers, potatoes, and tomatoes. Naturally these are the foods I love. Since I have osteo arthritis I do not know if the same is true for rheumatoid.

There is a simple way to tell if certain foods exacerbate arthritis. Start with the food item (tomatoes?) that you most suspect is causing your flare. Eliminate any form of tomatoes for one week. It does take that long! If you still are having flares, then try eliminating another food for a week and see what happens. I have a serious problem with refined sugar. It takes a full week to get it out of my system but then I cannot believe how much better my arthritis is.

Hi everyone,
I am a RA sufferer but I have been in remission for about 2 years now. I am not sure why. I was diagnosed with RA over 12 years ago but I had flares for a couple of years before that but they always went away. I think there are certain foods that definitely effected me. I found dairy products such as milk, cheese and yogurt caused me to feel worse. The only thing that I had done that year that I went into remission was do a thorough colon cleanse program for 2 months. I don't know if this helped as I was still taking my medication for awhile after that point but I had ran out during a trip and discovered that I had not have to refill again. |

Please note that I am not the same Ann as the one who is trying to sell her 'SURE-FIRE' cure-all.

I do! Inflammation causers tend to either contain sugar or turn into sugar (bread/pasta/milk). Also watch for Citric Acid, a yeast derivative commonly used as a preservative - wreaks havoc - it is what is in tomatoes (added by growers so they last longer on shelves) and strawberries. Hope this helps!!! |
