They use a special process that keeps it from upsetting your stomach. I've been on them for a couple of months and so far no problems. I just wanted to pass this along. This is the cayenne I use.

Article on excercise and prostate cancer studies: http://www.mysanantonio.com/news/local_news/a... Apparently findings support argument that excercise helps reduce risk of disease, but extent of that benefit is not real certain.

PepperLover...Thank you for all the awesome advice and sharing with us your experience with cayenne in regard to your prostate. I take cayenne daily, 2 tsps, working up to 3 tsps. It takes time for your body to adjust to it. My husband has had a problem in the past with his prostate, I will be telling him about your experience. Thanks again!
To CayenneJunkie,
As this is an old post, not sure if you are still alive or six feet under but if your not, I would like to leave you this message. I hope you never post here again, you are not wanted. Go spread your negativity and rudeness elsewhere, here is not the place buddy.

I think a lot of juices are high on sugar, some books on cancer that suggest a reduction in sugar intake (they say sugar is the energy cancer needs to grow) say not to drink juices, but eating the fruit is OK. They argue that the orange or whatever has fiber and the sugar is not digested as fast or in quantities you would usually get when drinking a glass of juice.
Not sure the merit, but in a quest to lower sugar intake I have sworn off orange an grape juices for the most part, still drink tomato and V8. Can't recall the sugar in tomato and V* but as I recall it is lower. And by all means avoid sweetened Coke and Pepsi and the like they say.

Exercise may assist in keeping cancer under control: http://health.usnews.com/health-news/news/art... Not sure what to think here, but exercise will keep the weight down in any event and help with cardio.

I started using the cayenne when I was directed to this forum by a friend and have seen positive results. I'm not sure at this point if it is doing anything to the cancer but I do have better function and have been feeling much better. I'm due to have surgery on April 19 and am hoping that is does not happen. I am diabetic and the cayenne also helps with controlling blood sugar which I don't have to take meds for. I am also using some other supplements that I recently learned about.

Turmeric seems to be a supplement that has antioxidant and antiinflammatory properties and has some studies that should it might be efective versus prostate cancer.
Are you taking another suppliment? Just curious, like to check out all the options.
I am still on a wait and watch type of program

Turmeric helps lower PSA and prevent prostate cancer according to a new study: http://www.deccanherald.com/content/240018/tu...

According to my doctors, turmeric yes, also vit D3, K2, fish oil -- no make that really good fish oil like pharmax, DIM to reduce bad estrogens, pomagranate supplement, and a great heavy metal detox like advanced bionutritionals (heavy metals are hugely inflammatory, inflammation can lead to cancer. Good oils only like virgin olive oil. Walnuts. Avoid fried foods (bad oils), avoid meat (inflammatory, bad oils), avoid sugar and sugar drinks including fruit drinks (very inflammatory). Avoid over cooking -- the more something is cooked -- the more the food is destroyed and any oils -- even good oils -- made bad. Avoid chemical estrogen like petrochemical substances in shampoos, pesticides, can liners, plastic bottles. Estrogen isn't good especially petrochemical estrogen like. Get exercise. More exercise. Get on your bike. Have sex. That is, get the blood flowing through the prostate. That's pretty much what my doctors are saying. Know a couple guys that have gone from stage four to being in remission. I am doing pretty good as well. God bless.

Got my latest PSA test back taken a few weeks ago, was 1.6. Test in January was 1.5. August of 2010 had my peak reading of 3.1 and it has been downhill or sidewise ever since.
So the daily turmeric, hot peppers, excercise, and fish oil seem to be keeping things steady. Mayo clinic study says average PSA for someone my age (50-59) is 3.5, so am glad we are holding.
Regardless of PSA Doc says he wants to do another biopsy this fall, is the only way to know if the one needle positive we saw two years ago (Gleason 6) has spread or not.
At these PSAs he said it was highly unusual to see a drop, and was really comfortable nothing is going on, but wanted to biopsy to be sure. And he said, shockingly, that he might not find anything - the cancer would be too small to find with his needle - an event that does not happen too often on a second biopsy. Let's hope.
Thanks for all who are posting here, you have provided some great info.

Men should skip the PSA test, panel says: http://online.wsj.com/article/SB1000142405270... Interesting take on things. My Doc would have operated if he had his choice on me, with one needle of 12 positive and a gleeson score of 6. PSA was 3.1, now is 1.6. He wants another biopsy to confirm that the cancer has not spread past one needle, has been 2 years since the first one. Not sure if this is prudent or a waste, but probably will have it done. I am concerned about infections that are getting to be somewhat resistant to antibiotics, if by chance the biopsy sites become infected it would be a world of hurt.
