See! This is why some folks don't need a car!
|
|
You are correct..some people just dont need to be on the road |

Holy Krap!! How fast was this IDIOT going when he "accelerated" coming out of a driveway, making a left!! In addition to injuring the poor baby, it looks like he plowed through the sidewalk sale that was going on.
He must have had a HOT NOONER waiting for him somewhere or he ran out of beer and was in a hurry to get more |

how awful!!!!

There are a lot of people that do not follow the rules posted at apartments about the speed limit being 5 mi per hr.It irks me to see someone driving fast in an apartment complex or parking lot of a grocery store.

why was the care provider not behind a fence? It almost looks like they were working a garage sale. If she was responsible for the one year old then why be outside doing personal things instead of being where it is safe?
I am a childcare provider. If I did that I would be brought up on charges and shut down. But then there are parents who do stupid things and loose their children over it. But that is a different soap box. |

I am the first person to say dumb is dumb but you are wrong. In this case they were walking by there is nothing negligent nor a chargeable offense. The driver was 100% at fault. You are so off base to blame the child care provider. |

Please, dont be rude, this is my NEPHEW, my mother and cousin (the care provider) were hosting the garage sale. My cousin was holding on to my nephew, she got struck first and was pushed then my nephew got struck and was pulled under the car.
No bad parenting happened. Just really bad things happened. What happened is that the person driving the car was a high school student learning how to drive, she was 13, her father and mother took her out of the car before the police arrived. so he took the fault instead. I visited him today. He's got a broken arm, fractured skull and a 8 inch gash across his forehead. Please pray that my baby nephew makes it through. Thank you. Ramirez Family. |

Judged: 1 1 I agree 100% with you. My guess is the parent's of the 13 year old driver were either drunk or doing drugs. That is the only explanation for allowing a 13 year old to drive. |

i know, but when she hit the wall, the father pulled the little girl out and made her run home.(they lived in the apts) They gave no information that the little girl was driving. Since the man and woman stayed behind and stated that one of them drove then thats what the police had to put down. there was no evidence that the little girl was there, no matter what the witnesses tried to say. Police could only write down what the man said about who was driving.
When she hit the curb, she panicked, and pressed the gas instead of the brakes. It hurts and ticks me off... the apt manager is trying her best to get information from them Thanks for your comments and concerns ramirez family. |

Judged: 1 1 Where are all the witnesses?? Why are people not telling the truth??? Karla if you know something why is noone speaking up??? |

I think I smell the distinct odor of BULLSHI.T!!!! If the father has all these injuries, how is it that the alleged 13 year old driver was able to leave the scene and run home, was she totally uninjured with the steering wheel in front of her? There are a lot of inconsistencies such as the police not listening to witnesses??!!!! I find that very hard to believe and unless the laws in Irving differ from anywhere else in the country, the police are obligated to take all statements of any witnesses who are forthcoming. As for the person who wanted to know why the caregiver was >>"outside doing personal things instead of being where it is safe?"<< That is a pretty DUMB statement top make. She was where it should have been safe, behind a curb, possibly behind a sidewalk or at the very least, ON the sidewalk. How much safer could one hope to be. Being a caregiver does not mean being a HERMIT and never going outside the house, the child needs a little sunshine, too. It isn't like she let the baby wander out into the street, she was holding the child when the car struck them if I read correctly. JMHO |

Garage sale took place along the street curb outside the apt complex...
I'm fairly certain Wingren has a 10 ft. street right-of-way. Did the city of Irving give permission to hold the garage sale on city property? I would assume not since that would be a safety issue the city wouldn't want to be responsible for. Therefore, holding the sale at that location is likely a Code and Traffic violation. All the other shinanigins identifying exactly who the driver was, is incidental. What is surprising is that they all didn't flee the scene on foot. Guess there were too many witnesses. |

The people that were driving the vehicle had NO injuries what-so-ever, my baby nephew is the one with the injuries. The article is wrong, it was a 1 yr old boy, not a girl. here's a better story.
http://cbs11tv.com/local/Irving.todd....2.821... My mother had permission to hold a garage sale there. I JUST know that the little girl ran off, and the father and mother took the blame. Police said since the father and mother admitted that one of them was driving and taking blame for the accident they couldn't investigate our story of the 13 yr old girl. Since the little girl was not located and the man would not give any info on the girl, they couldn't do anything about it. That's what we were told. And i apologize, they did take the information about the girl, but like i said, Parents took the blame and that's all the police needed. especially since it was a HORRIBLE accident and no alcohol or drugs were involved. And the drivers were not hispanic, they were of Indian Descent. So please no rude remarks about hispanic people, since we are hispanic. thanks for your comments and concerns. |

In this post you state that >>"The people that were driving the vehicle had NO injuries what-so-ever"<< (your own words) but in an earlier post you stated >> "What happened is that the person driving the car was a high school student learning how to drive, she was 13, her father and mother took her out of the car before the police arrived. so he took the fault instead. I visited him today. He's got a broken arm, fractured skull and a 8 inch gash across his forehead."<<(ALSO YOUR OWN WORDS) NOW do you see why we are skeptical? |
