If it weren't for PSA tests, my husband may not be alive today. His was aggressive, no telling what would have happened if our wondeful doc didn't insist on testing.

There is a lot of controversy over PSA testing. The web is helpful with those that have gone through testing and speak their mind. The VA has been excessive on testing for no reason in all fields of medicine. My best advice is to stay clear of medical / psychological services considering the corruption if not needed. The doctor should recognize the statement "no pain no monitary gain" The new medical records can cause you problems with other doctors who have access in which you may not agree with certain tests or procedures including medications.

Donaldo Kochackis went to the doc for a routine checukp, and learned that he had a PSA of 10.3. I don't know what to think about PSA testing for younger men, but for him it was a wake-up call that probably saved his life. Donaldo wrote "Prostate Cancer and Me," a candid and enlightening, supportive and HUMOROUS book about his experiences with radiation and hormone therapy. The printed book is available at and as a download at . An easy and informative read.
