I am hoping to find an antidepressant to take, that will relieve the ptsd , but not cause me to have insomnia. I'm on Zyprexa now and it hasn't helped me, I feel a little calmer, but I'm still having the racing thoughts. I need another med that will work better. And from what I've read many of the Antidepressants can cause insomnia. I already have trouble sleeping, so I don't want to make it worse.

If anyone here has found a good med for PTSD that doesn't cause insomnia, can you please let us know ? Thanks for reading.

You'll need to talk this over with your prescribing doctor. You can also talk with a pharmacist about your situation.

Are you also seeing a therapist for helping you deal with your PTSD? The therapy works a whole lot more in helping with the PTSD. Medications only help in a small way.

Not drinking any caffine products after 4:00PM and exercising also helps attain a better quality of sleep.

i ve use 'Celexa' antidepressant that worked
good for me, but the dr. took it away, and now
all the bad thots came back, so , i have to
stay away from anything or anyone who brings
up that traumatic incident. Focusing on things
that are positive, i take clonazepam for panic,
and use imagery, music, and meditation music
to relax. as for me ptsd symptoms can last
longer that 2 years. definetly, unless theyre
gonna tell me its something else...

Really hard to answer, been searching for like 10 years now. I have had trouble finding the right meds and also had to switch meds bc some stopped working after a while. Im happy with what I'm on now but this is not medical advice.

I take Wellbutrin SR, Topamax, and Seroquel XR.

I still have symptoms, but I'm not usually depressed, and I can focus. I still have flashbacks and triggers I don't think any medicine will relieve that

Daily Horoscope for June 3

Sagittarius

You're in the mood to spend today, especially on the spur of the moment. Be careful if you can't afford to make any impulse purchases, because a lack of cash won't stop you! If you do decide to splash out on something, you may be disappointed when you get it home and you might even decide to take it back.
