Mirapex is used for Parkinson's disease. It is being tried for restless leg syndrome without good results. Keep up if u can with the "New England Journal of Medicine". It will help u with all ur questions, and I wish u the best.

I was diagnosed with Fibromyalgia 3 years ago (age 48) about 8 weeks after a total hysterectomy. Tried everything from natural to synthetic to help the pain and stiffness. Prior to my diagnosis, I was healthy and extremely active - loved skiing, biking, etc. After bouncing from one doctor to another, I finally found a rheumatologist that prescribed Mirapex (.125) two months ago. I feel FANTASTIC! The severe pain and stiffness I felt is finally gone. I think the key to this medication is not to take large doses on a daily basis. I am sorry for the people who have not had a good experience with this drug and hope that you find something that will work for you. God bless!
are you still taking it? I have had fibromyalgia for 5 yrs and tried everything...I do take effexor and xanex for unrelated things for my seratonin problem. Any advise, Karen in NJ

just wanted to say that Michael and Larry seem to be on the right track. I am about to start taking the Mirapex. I am currently taking Celexa and Lyrica. I am going to switch the Lyrica for the Mirapex. My doctor told me to take .25 mg at night an hour or so before bed and if it helps then do not up the dose any. If after a few days it does not seem to be enough then I am to go up to .50 mg per day. I admit, reading all of the comments on this website has kind of freaked me out. But I am glad to see that there are some positive remarks.

I can recommend a reputable pharmacy (Mirapex) your-canadian-medshop.com/item.php... I received the order and it was on time and the pills work great.

As I mentioned in another thread, I overcame fibromyalgia, crohn's and severe ulcerative colitis. The answer is not to take a drug to turn off the symptoms but rather to use nutrition and lifestyle to rebuild your immunity - and address the cause.

I urge any sufferer who is open to rebuilding your health naturally which does take time to check out the Metabolic Typing diet. You can find it here www.healthexcel.com

I hope this helps someone.

Good luck

Since using Mirapex, I have had progressive muscle pain and weakness in both legs. Can there be a connection?
One of the side effects can be muscle pain and weakness in some people. I just read it in the information pamphlet the pharmacy gave me.

My daughter is in litigation against the major pharmaceuticals because of the financial and emotional devastation to our family caused by the prescription drug Mirapex. The pharmaceuticals are beating up on her pretty viciously.

I’ve written a book titled “A Letter to Julia” describing her trials with Mirapex and the resulting litigation. Could anyone suggest any publisher that might be sympathetic to this type of book?

Daily Horoscope for June 3

Virgo

Life catches you unawares today but for once you don't really mind. A friend is likely to ring up with an exciting suggestion or you could receive a spur of the moment invitation that's too good to refuse. An interesting encounter is also on the cards, especially when you're brought together through unusual circumstances.
