"Pearsall and Donahue first grew close as customer and insurer at Donahue's firm, where he showed 'his passion that he would do whatever it took that the family and I were totally covered,' Pearsall said." everyone that is selling you something has the same passion. you can say the same for car salesmen touting safety features. i never knew this person, but pearsall's comment is silly, in my opinion.

You 'never knew this person', yet you chose to post from a derogatory standpoint. Dan Donahue owned an insurance company in Vallejo, and most of us went to him for coverage because we trusted him to give us the best deal with the most comprehensive coverage. Dan was a savvy, caring, dedicated business man who viewed many of his clients as friends - I am proud to say I fell into that category. However, he provided the same extra mile service to anyone and everyone. Your statement: "everyone that is selling you something has the same passion", is ridiculous. Either you don't get out much or you're just oblivious to the world and it's varying degrees of quality. Your only reply to my message should be an apology to Dan's family and friends for behaving so insensitively - for no reason whatsoever.

A big thank you to Dan for his dedication and support over the years to the City of Vallejo. Dan was a great man with a charming personality and an unforgettable smile. He didn't go down without a fight, but he was up against a formidable foe. He overcame many odds that were stacked up against him when he discovered he had pancreatic cancer and lived much longer than expected because of his strong will to live.
Don't Make Me Get My Cape...Thank you for your comments.

Thank You Dan wrote: Don't Make Me Get My Cape...Thank you for your comments. Hear, hear! I think he DID get his cape with his right-on comments. Dan was a many of principle and kindness and he will be missed by friends and family, and this community. My deepest condolences to his loved ones. Any one know if the family is requesting donations to a particular agency in Dan's honor?
