Bravo to you! What a wonderful thing to do for these women. I don't have cancer--I hope I never get it. But I do have thinning hair that is very embarrassing. Have tried wigs, but they all look so fake and make my head itch. Anything anyone can do to make these women comfortable with their hair is a wonderful human being. Bless you for what you do.

I guess. Yes, our hair is important to us.

But living is more important. Of all the issues I faced, picking a wig was the least of it. I went to several places, picked one i liked, bought two in case I ruined it (I did, as it turns out -- if it's manmade, stay away from barbeque grills!) and started wearing it before I started chemo. My friends were used to it before the chemo ever started.'

People, we can make a big deal out of anything. "Oh NOOOO my hair is going to fall out! It's my HAIR! It's IMPORTANT to me!"

Or, you can say, "Hot damn -- they have this great new chemo that means I will probably live to see my granchildren. Shave my hair and bring it on!"

Me in that wig is on my driver's license now. It's just no big deal.

I urge women to keep this in perspective. Your hair grows out, but life goes on, and what a great life it's been for me since then, the more so because I've learned the value of it.

Of course living is the most important, but anything that can help make life easier and make you more comfortable is a bonus. I'm a cancer survivor from 1993 and 2008, so I know what I'm talking about. Sure, keep things in perspective but use whatever is at your disposal to make the journey easier. I think Cindy is doing a great service and I salute her!

Daily Horoscope for November 26

Sagittarius

The mood is considerably lighter as the Moon enters Aries and your fifth house of romance and creativity today; plan to enjoy a good time tonight. Make a play date with your inner child and forget about all your responsibilities for a few hours; you've been working hard and deserve time off for good behaviour. Just remember, no drinking and driving... hire a cab if you plan to go out for the evening.
