Hey Minor. Are you looking for a way out or are you content with your situation? I've got friends in PA, Pittsburgh actually, and would do whatever's in my power to help you. I know where you're at. Maybe it sounds strange... some dude from Cali offering to help but if no one else is offering, I am.

i have been hooked on painkillers for almost two years, and it is unlike any other drug that i have tried. i did not plan on getting addicted, i thought i was stronger and smarter than that. however, i had no idea that i would have an addiction. during the "process" i did not realize what was happening to me. i would take hydrocodone to give me more energy, put me in a better mood, minimize emotional pain, and occasionally get a real nice high, the nodding off kind. Before i consciously realized what was happening, i was physically dependent; if i didnt take something i couldnt function at all, i would get so sick. i eventually moved up to oxycontin when hydrocodone was not strong enough, and then got on dilaudid as well. i was an addict, i could not stop. i eventually went to treatment, had a few months of sobriety, but then relapsed, and i am now currently trying to kick again, i will most likely need treatment. it is by far one of the most difficult things i have had to deal with, bc my brain, just like any other addicts', does not think properly and rationally, my thinking is skewed. i feel like im in a catch 22 with this whole thing, i know i need to get clean, im trying, but it hurts so bad at the same time, its like, why am i doing this? However, i know there is light at the end of the tunnel, other people have made it, and i wont give up. to all that suffer from this hell, i know how you feel, im there with you, and i wish you the best of luck and hope you can find it within you to fight this shit. dont give up, dont let people that dont understand bring you down, youre not a worthless junkie. take care, find life again, its worth the fight.
it's amazing i have lived the life of a opiod needer. i sit here with a broken arm ect ect and i i want to do is help people get off them

No not yet. Insurance (new one) just kicked in June 1st. I need to quit pussyfooting around though and get there. I am proud of you too!! It seems easy on subs but its not at the same time ya know? Keep up the good work.My doc told me the same as far as patient retention goes. He said 85% of his patients are there against their will, like court ordered or parents involved. And said some relapse and he never sees them again. I am proud of us!!

never had an alergic reaction to sub. but it gave me a terrible headache unlike the norm for an opiate. and the euphoric state can be awkward i can feel good off of a quarter some days and then some otherdays i can do a whole one and it doesnt do a bit of good i think it all depends on how long you have it under your tounge. dont take this as that i am on the program i have only baught them off the street.

Holy frecken batman. How is she? I've never heard of that. Did they think it was the subutex or the naroxone she had the reacation to? Does she take any other meds? Just currous if it could have been a reaation between two meds.

Lots of questions... are you sure they were Suboxone? Did she get them off the street? Was she doing this under a doctores supervision? Was she in WD's before she started taking them? Did she have a sudden onset of severe WD's that may be confused with allergic reactions?

I found this on the web:

Allergic Reactions

Cases of acute and chronic hypersensitivity to buprenorphine have been reported both in clinical trials and in the post-marketing experience. The most common signs and symptoms include rashes, hives, and pruritus. Cases of bronchospasm, angioneurotic edema, and anaphylactic shock have been reported.

Thank You everyone for your replies. So i will answer to all.My best friend was in a car accident 7 years ago and almost lost her arm, through the years she got a tolerence to pain meds that makes mine look like nothing. She went through a doctor and went on the suboxone to bring her tolerence down and the second day her throat started closing up and she had a total allergic reaction and was rushed to the hospital.I told her to ween off them weekly. We both have injuries,i have 3 herniated disc and degenerative disc disease. They told me suboxone is not for me and i want to at least get off 50% because my tolerence is so high from being on oxycodone for 5 years.Thank you everyone and i will tell her about this thread but she hates computers.I wish they could invent a pill like suboxone that is good for pain.I have chronic pain and only take it for pain,i do admit that i am dependent but i dont feel at all addicted.I never abused and never took more then prescribed.I know it is not good because i am on oxycodone and take breakthrough but the pain is horrific.Does anyone know something that works for PAIN?To all,Be Blessed and wish you all luck with suboxone.Pain medication is not at all something you want to be on especially if you dont have chronic pain.To all remember there is a higher power and only God can get you through this.God Bless~Gypsy

Jenny,
I was just remebering that you had said somewhere you didnt know what "holy batman" meant and I was going to reply but couldnt remeber myself. But today, I chuckled when I saw your post. And I remeber now. I dont know if you were too young (lol) but back in the 70's the batman and robin show used to come on after school. Robin used to always say to Batman "Holy .....Batman, referring to whatever he was amazed by, ya know?

Addicted Minor,
How are you doing ? If you need some support let me know, you are making the first step by admitting that you need help and that is sometimes the hardest step they say. The people on this board are great and have helped me alot to understand addiction due to my first experience with an addict ending with me waking up and finding him blue and overdosed.
I am so proud of you for getting help and you can do it !!! We will all help you and are here for you!!
YOU CAN DO IT !!!!!!
