Food for thought people.....I'm almost certain the young lady told an adult when she was younger and no one listened! In Latino families their is a dark secret. Mother's, Aunt's, and Grandmother's when they have this knowledge very often DO NOT report it to the police! They won't even investigate it. They look the other way so as NOT to upset any other family members. This is very common. I know this to be true because it happened to me at the tender age of 7. I told my parents and they failed me!! My parents continued to take my back to my Grandfather's home and he continued to sexually abuse me. How sad is that. I was helpless!! No one believed me! Not even my Mother!:-( I'm now 36 and still suffer from the nightmares and in many other ways. This young lady needs help but she will always be damage because her innocences was robbed. She will have relationship problems when she is older. God help her. And regarding Oscar Medrano I have met him and spoken with him......If you did this to this child HOPE YOU BURN IN HELL!!!!!!!

It's well known that some men (various races) do the most horrendous, unspeakable acts on women. I hope you got my meaning. Not all Mexican men are A-holes. Butterfly was only referring to her experiences. I have never experienced anything like that. I feel sorry for her. Let's not turn this thread into a race issue.

Let me clarify, I was NOT pointing the finger at only Latino men it happens in ALL races. However, from other victims who I have spoken with, who happen to be latina, have told me their families never filed reports with the police department or investigated for themselves. These families just ignored their daughters cries for help and protection. I know of one case where the victims mother allowed the abuser (girls uncle) to move into their home when he needed help. This is crazy and unforgiveable!!

You're right about that. But I can honestly say I am one of the lucky ones, then.I have never been raped or anything like that. I feel for the women who have experienced horrendous crimes like that against them.Terrible.
