Ovarian cancer and other reproductive cancers are one of the most underresearched and awareness oriented cancers of all women cancers. Breast cancer has monopolized the industry and should help to bring the awareness around ovarian and other reproductive cancers through its crusades and various efforts to bring about its awareness. Since I was 20 I have always been an advocate for Ovarian cancer unfortunately trying to be a part of the NOC like this group is not as simple as it may sound and I felt very excluded from the group based on my age at the time. I wish them the best on their endeavors but lets not forget about the Gilda Rander Familial Foundation that has been pioneering these efforts in research and awareness side by side.

THE NOC tends to want to only cater to survivors and patients than bring about the awarenss of what research and studies can do for the patients without pairing the two together.

I agree with "Nice but disappointed" about the NOC. We ARE NOT any longer associated with the NOCC due to many philosophical differences. We have a very young and energetic board that is looking to broaden our outreach to include young survivors, research, as well as support all survivors and educate women about the disease. I URGE YOU to reconsider us and take a second look...you just might like what you see. Also, with us being young we are still in flux so are looking for energetic people who are passionate abou the cause to fight with us and make this group what is needed and wanted in Central Ohio.

Daily Horoscope for December 31

Pisces

Someone is extremely headstrong and defiant today, and there's every chance that you're the one fitting this description. The more others are trying to make you behave yourself or do what they want, the more determined you'll be to do the exact opposite. Well, it is a Full Moon, and a lunar eclipse in emotional Cancer, so you're excused! Show them that you're an individual in your own right without going completely overboard about it, because that will cause trouble. Then once you've got all that off your chest you can relax and look forward to a really Happy New Year!
