In Virginia u have to have a bad bite and they grade it to find out if medicaid will pay. If u don't get high enough points then u should ask the doctor if he will give u a discount and a payment plan.

I work for the Dept. of Social Services in NC. Here is the website link for all of the NC people who are looking for Dentist/Orthodontist in NC. If there are any others missing, I'm sure you can locate them based on the cities. Hope this helps the NC people.

My son has been approved to get brace through medicaid in Georgia. The only catch is....you have to be determined by a dentist that it is a health issue. Not sure what my sons was but his pallet (the top of your mouth) goes norrow, so maybe that has something to do with it. There is a orthodontic in Hapeville, Ga that takes medicaid and will try to get you approved for them but it took us 6 months or more to get the approval. Good Luck to all of you!!!!

My daughter has medicaid. Is there medicaid coverage for braces in nc? Her pediatric dentist has informed us she will need braces and possibility will need a consultation as early as age 8 1/2 which is less than 1 year away. I don't know if this work will be covered.
