Dear Dee:
Please see my "take on Progurt," under the topic question HOW LONG DO WE HAVE TO WAIT? Also, for some hope on MS, please visit www.myelinrepair.org . Thanks, Diana |

Diane, Can you tell me more about your experience with Progurt? I have MS, along with a number of other chronic conditions. Did you use the sachets or the powder in a bottle? If you used the sachets, did you make it into yogurt or did you take it as a powder?(I am diary intolerant and also cannot tolerate soy or nut milks either.) Thank you. Vickie L (reach me at my friend's email--Arabella1776@yahoo.com) |

Dear Vickie:
I have rapidly worsening secondary progressive MS and am in a wheelchair. By the time I found Progurt (the Australian type in the sachets), I was worsening by the day and the meds were making me incredibly sick. The maker of Progurt (in Australia) is named Robert Bison, an absolutely wonderful man who, I believe, saved my life. It came with a cost though. I had to do exactly as he said; extreme diet; exercise (which was almost impossible at the time), throw out most medicines, etc., etc. The outcome: I lost 90 lbs., I ride a recumbant bike for 20 mins. a night; I can wear shoes again; I go out again (still in a wheelchair, but feeling good). I did not have a full recovery, but I believe I am in good condition now; not sick and not afraid. While I am not on Progurt any longer and while I believe the regime requires a huge committment, for me, it was worth it and I will always be grateful to Robert Beson for his product and the time he invested in me. Good luck! Diana |

I'm trying to find a website for a man named David. His research titled "Intestinal Microflora Imbalance" sounds interesting. His website that I was given is no longer active. Anyone?

My brother has been diagnosed with MS 8 years ago. He became completely disabled and could not even feed himself anymore. A friend of the family gave him 5 sukets of progurt to put in his mouth and drink with water. In just a few minutes He started feeling better and stronger and 6 days later, I received the greatest b- day gift - MY BROTHER gained control of his hands and was able to eat and drink all by himself. This might not mean a big deal to others but to me, it was a miracle. We just received our first shipment of progurt and after taking 3 more suckets with water, on the next day, my brother gave me the greatest news - he was able to pick himself up from the wheelchair and stand on his own two feet for about a minute and a half while holding on to the granite countertop - something he hasn't been able to do in a very long time. Every day to us as a family is a miracle and we can't wait to see what he'll be able to do next. I give God the glory for sending this treatment our way when we lost ALL hope, and thank him for the people that freely gave those trial sukets of progurt...We are also very greatful for the people from Australia who make him feel as he'd be the only patient they have to deal with. I'll keep you posted on his progress.

I have been working with Robert for about 3 months. He is a gift. I had immediate results working with him but I am having some new symptoms. I started having some not perfect days with my food (i love margaritas and football). I have changed all with his guidance and am not going to give up this fight. Hope this helps.

my husband was diagnosed about 18 months ago... we began a very very strict diet which is working wonderfully...we follow Ann Boroch's book based on the candida yeast overgrowth and follow the diet and supplements diligently.. in order to get better you need to end use of all sugars and anything that would create yeast in your system. Ann's book should be the bible for all those with ms... but you must stick with it and be diligent! Get rid of the candida overgrowth and ms symptoms go with it!
We are still working toward "perfect" health as he was a marathon runner and wants to run again someday... so we are going to try the progurt for leg weakness (only one leg). |

I've been chomping at the bit to talk to someone about this. I purchased this "Progurt" for a king's randsome. I paid 290.00 plus 57.00 shipping for a cheap yogurt maker that doesn't even have an "on" or "off" button.....you have to unplug it! The 290.00 includes that cheap machine, 5 sachets to make 5 liters, and a container to make it in. If you over cook the yogurt, you've wasted 20.00 that it costs for a sachet. Yet there's no timer on this machine. It takes 12-14 hours to incubate. The customer service is awful. They tell you to call them. I'm in USA. At 3.50 a minute, I am expected to call them to straighten out their mistakes with an Australian phone number. Now for the big rip off!!! After charging Americans 57.00 for shipping,(which they have to) they calculate what they would have to charge in Australian dollars to get the US exchange rate. In other words: My bill was 457.00 on my 2nd order for 20 sachets, they figured out if they charged 500 in Aussie dollars, my visa bill would show around 450.00 US. That is theft.They were trying to pocket my exchange rate by increasing the Aussie dollars. My Visa Company is going after them for that. You cannot claim US dollars (which they told me they can) when you are an entirely Australian Company. They imply that the Progurt will only cost a 20.00 a month once you establish your flora. However after you buy it, the instructions say to take at least 3/4 cup per day. At that rate, it costs you 100.00 a month.......And Robert is an idiot! He is arrogant and can be rude. Only when you cross him does he show that side. I like the product, only because I can afford it. It is a great probiotic. But DO NOT trust them on their claims. If they are willing to rip me off, they would misrepresent their product to someone with MS. Anyone feels better when leaky gut is addressed. Most of us have it. I hope I've helped someone who might think that they can be cured from this horrible disease. It is only a great yogurt$$$$$$$$ |

sorry....Michelle can't use a computer!

Diane, I am so happy for your wonderful results. I too have talked with Robert, and he does not have the medical background to make these outrageous claims. He told me to take more salt. My blood pressure skyrocketed. I suspect that the positive lifestyle changes, which most alternative doctors can recommend is why you did so well. Plus you added a really good probiotic. The power of the mind to heal cannot be underestimated either. However coming from someone who has tried all types of alternative medicine, I recognize the deception. I was brainwashed with extreme religion as a child, and these claims remind me of that kind of trickery. If it doesn't work, you're not doing enough. So they always have the upperhand. I do believe that it is a great probiotic and it has improved my health by getting rid of "leaky gut". I have so much respect for MS patients. You are such strong and courageous people. I just don't want you to have unrealistic expectations. I have had too many people take my hard earned money to treat my unbearable chronic fatigue syndrome. I even bought an 18,000 hyperbaric chamber. As long as you realize that it is a great probiotic that can assist in your overall health, and you can afford the 100-200 a month it takes to maintain it, then I would say you're on the right track. I only want the best for all of you MS patients. Peace and good health to you all. PS: my sister has MS. |
||||
Suze, It seems that sugar is the center of most disease. Chronic Fatigue Syndrome has a candida connection as well. Thank you for the tip about the book. It can be used by my sister (with MS) and myself with CFS. My addiction to sugar is unbearable. It doesn't get any better. The longewr I'm off sugar, the worse I feel. Do you have any suggestions on how to get over this "heroin like" substance? |
