Plagues from TB to leprosy invading U.S.

The only thing that some people claim is good about illegals is that they do jobs americians won't. But in reality they are only benefitting the business by making the owners mucho rich by not paying americans a living wage.

Just another in the myriad list of negatives that the Illegal Immigrant community has wrought upon this nation and its legal citizens. There is nothing postive from Illegal Immigration - period ! Seize their assests, deport them all, including their anchor babies.

Tracking leprosy among immigrants can be difficult, but leprosy is already endemic in Texas, and numbers are rising in New York and California--all states with high immigrant populations. Dr. Levis said he believes America could be on the brink of an epidemic similar to those that swept Brazil and led to the country becoming a global leprosy hotspot.
“We just don’t know when these epidemics are going to occur,” he said.“But we’re on the cusp of it here, because we’re starting to see endemic cases that we didn’t see 25 years ago.”
At present, only about two dozen new cases of leprosy are found in US-born patients each year, a number that has not changed for decades, said Steve Pfeifer, head of statistics and epidemiology at the National Hansen’s Disease Program.
But the short time between many immigrants’ entry to the US and their diagnosis with leprosy suggests that some immigrants, mostly from Mexico, may now be coming to the U.S. specifically to seek treatment, Pfeifer said.
“They’re coming to be treated because they get treatment free and probably get better treatment here,” he said.“Somebody down there diagnoses them and says,‘Hey, you’ve got leprosy, and your best course of action is probably high-tailing to the U.S.’”
Since the disease remains contagious until patients receive their first course of medication, an influx of diagnosed but untreated patients could lead to leprosy spreading

Note that this report is dated '05. Springdale Arkansas has recently reported 9 cases of Leprosy.
ICE should invoke, along with the usual Illegal Immigration laws, the laws regarding National Health threats. E Pluribus Unum

I find this article to be a little disturbing only beacause I also believe that 30+ million illegals were let in on purpose so that something can be conjured up to pit people against eachother, possibly further justify merging our continent, and then be able to "control" the internal uprising.

Is this perhaps another scare/control tactic?

MAiming diseases just so happening to enter into the country right around the time there is a big stir about illegal immigration, and the article pretty musch assumes it is due to this "recent" influx when we have been exposed to the same groups of people for as long as I've been on the planet! Hmmm....

Then the article goes so far as to mention studies that pinpoint gays as being more receptive to certian diseases infiltrating the country. WTF!

Wait, I am a little confused. An organism is endemic when it reaches a specific geographic location, adapts to surroundings, and evolves characteristics that prevent it from reproducing with the colonizing ancestor organism??????

You are absolutely correct in that the Mexican government in concert with religous organizations, especially the Roman Catholic church (Vatican) has declared war on this country. They have tried it several times before. Lest we not forget the Alamo, Santa Ana. The tactic of overtaking a country by sheer numbers is well known. Bring the country down from within.

I noticed that this story is not being mentioned by the MSM. I wonder why. This is just another "nail" in America's coffin. How many more American's have to die before we wake up?
