Cara - just read your message, hopefully you're MRSA-free. I just learned today that once again my MRSA has returned. My story is too long to tell right now, but I've been battling MRSA for over a year. It's main target has been my right leg which now has several wounds(or ulcers) of different sizes, the largst is about 2 x 3 inches in a somewhat oval shape, and about a half inch deep. On your ankle, a half inch is getting mighty close to the bone. But, as they say, I digress. I'veused vancomycin and cubicin IV antibiotics (back on cubicin tomorrow) and an oral antibiotic called Zyvox which is VERY costly, a 2 week supply, 2 pills a day for 14 days, is about $2,000.00. Yes that's two thousand dollars. Haven't had anything else that worked at all. Good luck.

The medical community does not want you to know all the natural cures against this. No money for the pharmacy giants. For $35, you can get a silver gel called SilvaSorb (Google it) that will help heal superficial wounds that may be infected by MRSA. Wash underwear in clothes in bleach (one cup or more) and Vinegar (one cup or more). MRSA hangs out in the crotch, armpit, and nose areas.

Take antibiotics in combination with the natural approach. I now go at least a year in between outbreaks. I deal in the preventative mode.

For very superficial wounds/ legions/ boils, use full strength tea tree oil found at Walmart for $5 in the pharmacy section.

So many natural remedies to try before drugs or in combination with drugs.

Update to my previous post. I had a MRSA legion appear. I just cured it with silvasorb hydrogel applied three times daily to the sore. I took a shaving razor and actually shaved over the bump daily (new razor of course everyday) to remove the superficial top layer of skin. I did this in the shower. Immediately after the shower, I dry off with white towels (same reason I use white underwear) so that it can be bleached heavily when laundered and dried on high. I then put on the silvasorb for an inch around the sore. I also take a little of the silvasorb gel on the tip of a Q tip and put in my nostrils twice daily. Pinch your nostrils to ensure that it gets in there . MRSA colonizes mostly in the nares.

I take a special bath that I found on this website. The website says to do it for an hour, I do it for ten minutes every other day. What I do is fill up the tub half way and add 1 cup of vinegar. swirl it around. If you have PH strips, you should get a reading of PH less than 6.4. Then I add 1/3 cup bleach which is only 10 ppm. This turns the water into a light hypochlorous acid (HOCL) which forms when the sodium hydrochloride in bleach is added to water having a pH of 6.5 or less. This is safe for most peoples skin and toxic to all MRSA and other bacterias.

Some people on here rate my comments as "nuts", but they are the ones that are believing in the pharmaceuticals that gave us MRSA in the 1st place.

So with Vinegar, bleach, bathwater, and silvasorb hydrogel, you can prevent legions from coming back so you may not ever need antibiotics.

Hello everyone,

I'm an 18-year-old girl and a freshman in college. Over the past month I've had two seperate outbreaks of CA-MRSA (they presume, never have been able to get tested). The first occured in late September in my earlobe, and that was treated successfully with a combo of bactrim and clindamyacin. The most recent outbreak has happened within the last couple of days. It's close to the eye, actually, so the the nurses are extremely concerned (especially since the eye near the abscess has swollen shut). I'm back on clindamyacin.

The nurses also gave me a few more things to help prevent further outbreaks- bactroban and hepicleanse (sorry, don't know spelling of either). The bactroban is to be put in your nostrils (where most MRSA is colonized) and on ANY sores (like zits). The hepicleanse is a wash you use over your body (in the shower). While I haven't had the chance to experience either product, I figure it's a good idea to put the option out there. Apparently they both work pretty well.

All the best,

Katie

Confusion reigns supreme today, especially when dealing with financial matters. You could get into a muddle when sorting out your accounts or when working out how much you owe someone, even though you may not notice this at the time. It certainly isn't the day for parting with large sums of money because the chances of something going wrong are very high.
