My father was a shipyard worker in the 80's for the Long Beach Naval Shipyard. He was not diagnosed with Mesothelioma until nearly a decade later. He lived to see his the birth of his first granddaughter, however his health ultimately declined immediately after. As the eldest son, I took it upon myself to educate myself and scour as many mesothelioma forums, blogs, and resources I could find regarding about my father's illness. MARF gives grant money to researchers, scientists and drs who work on trying to find a cure for this fatal cancer.This organization is beyond description when it comes to correct information and news on meso. I KNOW because I am surviving with Peritoneal Meso for 7 1/2 years thanks to this organization. Please contact your senators and congressmen to support meso research and to ban asbestos importation into the US.
