Combination therapy for the treatment of age-related macular degeneration

A recent US patent application from Ophthotech Corporation describes a combination therapy for wet type age-related macular degeneration using a PDGF antagonist and a VEGF antagonist. PDGF antagonist is a pegylated aptamer and the VEGF antagonist is a humanized anti-VEGF antibody. News link: http://www.sciclips.com/sciclips/drug-discove...
