Look Out For Lyme Disease

When my kids were younger, we were avid tick hunters. Each night we'd thoroughly check each kid and for extra measure, make sure they had a bath and scrub them with a soapy washcloth.

Sounds a lot like what we went through with our teenage daughter's myriad of symptoms and difficulty with diagnosis; after going out of state once convinced it was Lyme and getting a clear diagnosis, we still had to face Alabama doctors that denied it. Crazy. And she still suffers. So many have symptoms that I hear about now that don't make sense unless you know about lyme, but people are so unaware. It makes me angry that the doctors who could really help and are holding themselves out as experts not only don't help, but harm with false diagnoses and accusations. This has been our experience. Glad you have had better. Hope you son recovers completely! Thanks for your very well written article.
