I had a new knee replacement 5 weeks ago. All seems well...wound healed so well...doing exercises without pain...a little pain deep within knee at night (bearable without analgaesic). however the new knee clicks when I walk (just like when I had osteoarthritis). I know it doesn't seem much but it drives me crazy. Thanks. mikew

Hi,
Getting clicking etc. at 7 weeks (yesterday).
Healed pretty good, moving OK. Most of the pain is going away some different pain starting as I move for my job that is different than the exercise routine. I am pretty happy so far. I'm not getting driven crazy by the clicking, it's just there. My knee used to make all kinds of noises before so it's no big deal to me.

Hi, I am 51, retired early due to knee problems, had my TKR Dec 08,'clicked' for 3 months but as I did more activity, the clicking subsided....I've now got 0 to 120 degree flexion and started a swimming teacher job at my sports centre, realistic to know that I wont get back to doing the sports that caused the osteo in the first place but at least that pain has all gone, keep doing as much as you can daily but pace yourself, elevate the knee when aching starts, bag of frozen peas did it for me!! Keep upthe positive and keep moving, good luck, Alex.(UK)

Thanks so much for your comments Alex. You seem to be going 'great guns' and long may it be so. If the clicking finally disappears it will be wonderful. You are so young to have the TKR but obviously it shows in your complete recovery. God Bless. mikew

Daily Horoscope for January 7

Aquarius

Avoid making promises today, or even believing in other people's promises. Today is not a good day to make commitments, as they are not likely to materialise. Taking risks is a no-no. Try to relax until the numbers are in your favour. Those pursuing their career will benefit.
