I would like to receive the help of this forum.
Looking for a medication called afinitor (everolimus) which was found to have very good effect on patients with metastatic renal cancer. It is available for sale anywhere in the world? What is it's price? etc... Thank you. |

Afinitor, the name under which everolimus will be marketed for kidney cancer, is also known as RAD001.It is made by Novartis and marketed under another name to reduce organ rejection in kidney and heart transplants. It is not approved yet for kidney cancer as far as I know, but Novartis is running another study right now to expand access to this drug forpatients with advanced kidney cancer who have failed with other approved treatments. My husband is on this trial and has had extremely good results -- he is now in partial remission. I suggest you get in contact with Novartis to find a trial. |

My father was recently prescribed Afinitor. Thirty pills cost $7,000.00. After insurance co-pay $4,000.00.
Norvatis has a patient assistance program. They will fax you a form. My father was denied because his diagnosis code did not match. I now need help trying to find another alternative. |
