In fact i'm taking this a whole step further by these rules.
INSOMANIA PLAN
1 drink at least 7 cups of tea before going to sleep in one day. As much as needed untill you feel like
2 Watch T.V for as long as you feel and get U NO WOT without U NO WOT
3 Make yourself as uncomfortable as possible. eg, put uncomfortable clothing on
4a. Increase your temperature body. e.g, thick clothing
b. decrease your body temperature by not many layers (Whichever you feel like)
5 Make sure that you do not lay down as if you are going to sleep.
6 Keep a diary on the times you achieve after 4.00am
(must be a work night. This is only an achievement if after 4.00AM)
7 treat yourself at weekends with a lot of sleep
8 Keep the curtains open while in bed
9 stimulate the brain with comedy or U NO WOT
10 Enjoy being depressed and make sure you feel satisfied with what you're doing
AND REMEMBER:
I WANT INSOMNIA
Andy~ your just retarded is the problem...really.
Im a mother of a 5 yr old AND a newborn...insomnia is NOT fun...cause in the AM you STILL have to take care of kids and spouse and job... and its REALLY hard to do when your so tired. I cant believe you actually want to have it. ookkk

I have had chronic insomnia for 10 years now. I also happen to be bipolar with post traumatic stress. If you don't sleep for long enough you do hallucinate and I have bad ones. You get to the point where you just want it to stop. I regularly don't sleep for 4,5 even 7 days at a stretch and I mean no sleep.

My first real episode of insomnia lasted 5 weeks (I got around 5 hours the first week, 3 hours the second and none the fourth week.) The forth week I was hospitalised because my body was failing. I collapsed 3 days later. It almost killed me.
While mine is an extreme case it does happen so think twice.

Just remember, once you have insomnia, you'll probably always have it and you can't turn it on and off.

HAHAHAHA!!!
you WANT insomnia???? well let me tell you, i havent sleep for.... well i cant even remember and do you want to know how i'm feeling?
I FEEL LIKE I BELONG IN AN INSTITUTION.
you dont want insomnia. if you want a quick fix, go smoke some pot or something. insomnia is not a drugfree drug that can work magical powers on you and enable you to stay up forever and come out as superman. no no no. you see, insomnia makes you crazy., sure, you dont sleep and you might have time to do what ever you want to but it CHANGES you. you are not in a stable mental state when you have insomnia. DO NOT THINK YOU CAN LIVE YOUR LIFE THE SAME WAY AS YOU DO NOW IF YOU HAVE INSOMNIA. it;s a whole new world. you start to analyze everything, and things are NOT as they appear.
on second thought, I HOPE YOU DO GET INSOMNIA.
because only then will you realize how stupid you were for asking for it. i thought like you once, thinking that if i never slept my life would be awesome. but its not. im a fucking failure. because im cracked out because i dont sleep and it ruins everything. so fuck you for thinking that insomnia is cool. you dont know shit.
and sorry for being so mean about this, but you wont change your mind about this no matter what anyone says so i figure you wont care if i talk some shit, you dont even know me hahahahaha.

when you're really young insomnia can be fun ... i used to love drinking coffee and just staying up all night -you can get alot done- when you get a little older and have to be in a routine and be alert for work, insomnia is terrible. trust me, when you don't sleep for an entire week because life is stressful and you have to go and do your job each day, not so much fun. plus nobody else is awake, so it's pretty boring. i'm also convinced that my strange sleeping patterns that i developed in grad school ... working for days in a row with no sleep ... caused my sleep problems that i have today. i have to take lunesta every night to sleep. go to sleep kids while you can! ha ha

This has got to be the most unwise venture since the Titanic. Careful what you wish for.

If you would like to control your sleep cycle try http://deprivednomore.com/

It's supposed to get you to sleep, but it could also be used to set your sleep schedule to odd times, or seldom times.

You are a complete doche bag. I've had it for a year and I am going mentally insane. you don't want this kind of life, I wouldn't wish this upon my worst enemy. enjoy being depressed? being depressed isn't going to give you insomnia, insomnia is going to make you depressed to the point where you can't fall asleep untill you've sliced yourself at least twice that night. how stupid can you get argh

You people are total morons if you even think you want insomnia!! I'm 14 years old and have had insomnia since I was around 7 - that is HALF MY LIFE! I'm telling you, I bloody hate my life. I've list friends because I'm always much too tired to go out and mess around, I can't learn - I have no clue how I manage to do well although my grades are slipping - I can never concentrate. The list is endless. And no-one believes me! My mum thinks I'm just faking it, it makes your life HELL! I wake up every day wishing I hadn't, wishing it would just end!! It makes you extremely vulnerable, emotionally and in the case if your immune system! I'm on anti-depressants and have been for several months, and right now I have flu. I never feel content or well, there is always something wrong - either a cold, bad stomach ache - ANYTHING. I've had the council round my house because I've had so many days of school, there is no joy in my life, I don't enjoy anything! I never have the energy to do much physical things, I've gained weight because of it. I get detentions that are several hours long because I'm late to school quite a few times.
You are totally fucked up if you want this! It is HELL!!!

I don't know if you would call me an insomniac, but during the summer for some reason I can NOT sleep until after 6 or 7 am. I don't mind it, if I need to be up early it's no problem, I don't really NEED sleep, I like it sometimes though, when Im bored. Otherwise I feel like it's a waste of time. It's kind of weird but I enjoy being up all night, I'll watch a movie or read or both, then when the sun starts coming up I'll take a nature walk. It does suck when after a long time without sleep everything starts feeling weird, like I'll put something down and forget where I put it a minute later. That happens a lot lately haha. Still, most people sleep 1/3 of their lives. If someone told you to sit in a dark room and not think or do anything for 8 hours would you do it? Neither would I.

why do people think that insomnia means that you do not fell tired? it means that you cannot sleep and then spend all of your time felling exhausted! you do not want this.

Daily Horoscope for January 3

Aries

There is a strong focus on career and parental matters today. You need to be cautious regarding your dealings with someone in authority - things may not be what they seem. This is also a good day to spend time with your partner. Communication in general should prove to be smoother sailing than usual so this would be an opportune time to discuss delicate matters with others. Good news in the evening is indicated.
